I love this bully starter kit. My dog loves bully sticks, but I'm always afraid that I'll miss getting that last little bit away from him and he might choke. The holder really helps with that worry! I did have to add padding to hold help the skinnier sticks but that wasn't enough of a problem to take away a star. The jar is also nice to have on the counter and keep sticks in waiting organized. These sticks are great for getting tartar off his teeth keeping his mouth healthy.

I've tried a few bully stick holders before, including even a basic spring clamp. This has been the only one that I haven't been able to either pull the stick out of (or the dog can pull it out) or I worry about him chewing on the material. We've only tried it with the sticks that came with it but as long as they have a decent groove it should be able to hold them. My dog is always attended while eating these but he tends to try and swallow too big of pieces and I've had to pull it out of his throat before. I feel so much better letting him go to town on his treats and I know I'm not wasting a bunch of money throwing away bigger pieces. The first time we tried it the remaining piece was a little over an inch. Love it!

This is the first review I've done and feel compelled to write after just one use. Our pup swallowed the last few inches of a bully stick we recently gave her. It made me nervous to give her any more so I started researching and found the bully buddy. She's a 25 lb golden retriever puppy so I ordered up to the medium as she'll be 30 lbs before we know it. The website also said for aggressive chewers (she is!) to order up a size. I'm not sure that is necessary, and the dog size ranges might be able to be adjusted. I should have paid more attention to the reviewer who stated these are bigger than expected because they are absolutely right and that was more helpful than the listed information on the website. The thick sticks are also just that... quite thick compared to other sticks we've ordered. I tried to fit a thinner Nature Gnaws chew stick into it, but it was too thin to hold tightly. I think that's due to the medium (large!) size. I would have rather ordered a small for now, then purchase a bigger one when/if she truly outgrows it. In any case, the bully buddy worked so well for what it is intended to do! She chewed and chewed and never loosened the stick. It left about an inch or so at the end that I'd rather throw away than have her choke on. As others have mentioned, the plastic teeth were slightly worn down with just one use and will likely be gone after a couple more. It would be great if the screw and teeth were updated to something more durable. I would still recommend the product for anyone who is looking for a way to keep their dog from inhaling large pieces of their bully sticks. While I hesitated on ordering for minute due to the price and possible need to only use the brand's sticks, it has turned out to be totally worth it for us.

I am a first time dog owner and so far have purchased many, many different teething toys and bones, not to mention kong, puzzle toy, peanut butter lick pad etc. At first this kit seemed expensive I was hesitant as I wasn't sure if my puppy would like it and if it would be worth the price. I am so glad I gave it a try. Among all those that I introduced to my puppy, by far THIS IS THE BEST!!!! My puppy is so curious and easily distracted even when eating. I've never seen him so focused and not distracted as when he's chewing on this bully stick. He would easily spend at least 30 mins to even over an hour!! I did some research and since he's so little, I won't let him take more than an inch but so far he cannot chew more than an inch at a time anyway. I store the leftover in freezer to prevent bacteria. Definitely highly recommended!

This device is perfect for dogs who like bully sticks. If you put the bully stick correctly into the device, it stays there and the dog can chew the stick from both sides. (Make sure the “screw” goes right on top of the groove in the bully stick and then make sure you tighten the device strongly.) Our dog, who uses this device has now learned to bring it to us whenever he wants a bully stick and we all make a big production out of it. (He doesn’t get one every time, though). I think the device is over priced, but to us, it’s worth it. Highly recommend it. Little side note: our other dog, who is not as an aggressive chewer, always gets the piece that’s left over.

My mini Aussiedoodle, who we adopted just 6 weeks ago, swallowed a 3 to 4 inch chunk of rawhide the other day. While we were both watching her. It happened so fast. We were JUST discussing at what point I should take it off of her and gulp it was gone. I was terrified. Of course it was a Saturday evening. We watched her closely all night and the next day. Thankfully, she seems fine 4 days later. I had seen the Bully Buddy ad on Instagram and was considering it. When she swallowed that piece, I ordered it. Just received the small blue buddy with the midsize sticks, and they seem perfect. She is about 27 lbs. She has been very busy for the past hour!! And I feel so much safer now. She loooooves chew sticks, so I'm we didn't have to give them up!

We have the first generation and this one. I got it thinking it would be better and it indicates it holds other chews. Bully sticks slip out of it and I have not been successfully able to use it for other chews. Yak chew is too big. Beef tendons do not fit well and slip out. The first generation is the better option.

This item is AMAZING!! It helps prevent your dog from chewing the stick all the way down and accidentally swallowing a piece that's a little too big. MY ONLY COMPLAINT: my dog continued to chew it even after the stick was only a little nub. She chewed so much that now the screw is almost impossible to loosen/tighten so it's basically impossible to use anymore. I ended up buying another and i take it away once she's done chewing on the actual stick to prevent her from chewing on the toy.

I can finally relax while my pup enjoys his bully stick!

Bow Wow Labs is amazing! I am so excited that they are on Amazon so I could get it from Canada. The bully stick holder is so durable and will last for a lifetime of dogs! The bully sticks are also my dogs favorite!! I would 200% recommend this product for anyone!! 😊
