DON'T ASSUME THEY AREN'T GETTING WARM!
Just like the hand warmers from this company, I was thinking they weren't getting that warm when in reality they were (per actually readings). In reality you don't want these too far above your body temp or of course you risk burns. Also with feet, due to circulation issues some may not realize it is warm.I first tried these outdoors at a restaurant by a fire pit. My toes ALWAYS get cold (as I wear gym shoes with great breathability). With these though, while my legs were cold (I was wearing capri workout leggings like an idiot) my toes never did! Yet when I pulled the warmer off of my sock, it didn't feel that warm to touch. The second time I tried, I also tried with same shoes but one warmer attached to the sock versus one attached to the inside of the shoe on top. When putting on the inside top of the shoe, you also remove some of that air flow that I think these tend to work off of. In either case, both registered from 98/99 degree (one that one on inside top of shoe) to approx 100-102 (one I stuck to the top of my sock). Also, the heat/material doesn't distribute evenly and why the rating difference on same warmer. Despite these looking like maxi pads for your toes ;) the fact they have an adhesive backing is wonderful for application so it isn't moving around in your shoes.Overall, I say a win! Easy application and easy compact package to keep in bag/purse/car/etc. These would make a great stocking stuffer as well!

Didn’t do the trick
So I’m not really in the coldest area, living in Southern California it doesn’t get that bad during the winter. Most days I like to hang outside in my garage and either listen to YouTube or an audiobook. In the hours before the temperature rises above the mid 50s, my toes can get a little cold. While out visiting family in Minnesota, my cousins dad told me about these. I’ve tried these a few times. So far, the results haven’t been very impressive. On the three occasions that I’ve used these, the temperature has started out in the very low 50s. Each time, I’ve needed a set on the top and bottom of my toes in order to be comfortable. Initially I thought I might have done something wrong. After consulting the instructions, I realize that I hadn’t. If you live someplace that gets super cold, I don’t know that these would do the trick.

Not as warm as advertised, though long-lasting and warmth comparable to other brands
I value good hand and toe warmers, so I was excited to see these warmers. I'm not really happy with the brand I currently use (specifically their hand warmers) and am looking for an alternative. I've purchased and used camp equipment from Cascade Mountain Tech. From outside, the toe warmers look just like the other brand I've used. I put them on my feet and waited 20 minutes until I took a temperature reading. Note that I didn't test them outside, because of the practicality of taking off boots often to take temperature readings, the impact that being active outside could have, and the temperatures I face versus those that others might face. Instead I tested them in a controlled environment to see if I would reach the average activated temperature (115F).For my temperature reading at 20 minutes, I had not enclosed them, since doing so reduces oxygen exposure though it also results in heat loss to the air. The reading came in at a pretty low 88F, compared to the 68F carpet next to where I was standing. I then put on slippers with minimal air space inside and gave the warmers another 20 minutes to warm up the area. The temperature came in only slightly higher at 90F. While my feet felt a lot warmer without heat loss from elsewhere around my sock, the temperature was well below the stated average. It later rose to 92F at its peak, around 2.5 hours after starting it and still inside my slipper. The lower-than-expected temperature is disappointing, but it's also common in my experience. Toe warmers seem to do a great job in enclosed areas compared to hand warmers, but I've never found them to get anywhere near as warm as hand warmers. That said, these toe warmers felt as warm as the other brand I've used. And, on the plus side, they lasted a lot longer than 5 hours, since I noticed that they still felt pretty warm 7 hours later when I was outside.Overall, I think these toe warmers are a good option. The performance was typical of the other brand I use and it's nice to have this bulk pack as an option for stocking up each winter.

They fit great but I could not get consistent heat out of them.
I have tested a several different hand and foot warmers but these Cascade Mountain foot warmers just didn't make the cut. The construction is great, they are the right shape, stick well and you hardly notice they are there. Unfortunately, I could not get them to throw off the heat I expected. I have test rig I have used before, a plastic bag with 1/4 cup of water in a glove with a wireless temperature sensor. That simulates the real world application of a hand or foot warmer pretty well. I put my test unit outside at about 0 F and the temperature probe recorded the temperature going down steadily. Other warmers I have tested show a temperature reduction then plateau for several hours until exhausted. Not so with these Cascade Mountain warmers. Maybe I got a bad box but my this batch just did not show effective warming.

Great Concept, Good Execution
Today was a great day to test these with it being -13 F this morning. Here are my thoughts after one use:- They are thin enough to not cause discomfort.- I have had them on for more than five hours and they are still going.- While they do generate heat, they almost need to be pressed against your foot to really get the effect.I normally avoid shoes/boots that are tight across the toe box, so these might not be super effective under my normal circumstances. However, they are an improvement over nothing and worth packing if it's going to get cold.

Great Idea
My feet get really cold in the winter and turn white while these haven't saved them to completely turn white and freeze, they have really helped me. Depending on what you are doing while wearing these they stay on pretty well sometimes they stay on too well and it's hard to take off. They are really comfortable. I couldn't even tell that I was wearing them with my shoes.
