Necessity for Mandarin Chinese learners.. and translators

The Oxford Pocket Dictionary is not as small as I imagined it to be. I envisioned it as a new small new dictionary that I could fit into my pocket. Instead it is larger and cannot fit into your pocket. The dictionary's layout was very easy to understand, the Chinese characters were arranged by the first noise. This system is very easy. My only complaint is that the cover's plastic coating was starting to peel off. A good buy for four dollars.

My Chinese ESL students get a lot of use out of this! In addition, the English spelling of the Chinese makes it (almost) possible for me to pronounce some of the words -- overall, it's a great resource.

Very good! Almost new! My son likes it very much.but there is no example sentence in the dictionary just words. But my son said it is enough for him

この書は中国の商務印所館で出た双方向辞典を拡大印刷して出したものですが現地の状況を把握している信頼おける辞典出版社から出ている書だけに買う価値はあります。ただ昨今の中国人民元の値上がりから価格が上がってしまうのは残念です。後一歩遅かったらさらに値が上がっていたろうと思うとコレは賢い買い物と自画自賛しています。もしこの書を買う場合は中国語と英語の辞書はコレに尽きると割り切った上での集中買いをお勧めします。
