Case works, but will not fasten to plate properly. It rattles

Easy to install, holds a large helmet and a few small accessories. Though it looks good, the material isn't of the highest quality, but excellent for the price point.

The case is fine a little “ rattly”. The metal mounting plate is easy to install but the pegs and locking pin are not very tight to the case itself so it rattles a bit even with the rubber bumpers installed. I don’t think it will come off the plate but it certainly moves about an 1/8 inch back and forth in the socket.

Personally I don't trust this thing. It wobbles too much. I tried fixing it by putting some 1/4" thick foam weather stripping between the case and the mounting plate which helped a bit, but I still don't trust it. Maybe with 1/2" thick foam it would work better, but even still I don't trust how it secures to the mounting plate which is just by the lock in the front and 2 little plastic knobs that slide in a socket in the back.The 2 metal brackets that hold the mounting plate from the bottom of the rack bend way too easily when tightening, adding even more anxiety that it's less secure to the rack. The case itself is in fact waterproof though and kept my stuff dry in a downpour, but the type of plastic the case is made out of is cheap and flimsy.Overall this thing will work and it holds up in high speeds (I tested at 85mph), but for my peace of mind I decided to return it because I keep getting paranoid that it will blow off mid-ride and found myself wanting to constantly look back at it when riding which is unsafe. It won't fit my full face helmet too which is one of the main reasons I bought it.They are charging me a restocking fee PLUS a shipping fee just because I'm not shipping it back in the original packaging.. They also want me to take pictures and make sure it's unused which makes no sense.

After attaching this to scooter. It fell off 3 timed when hitting a bump. The 1st 2 timed I was lucky and seen it let loose. The 3rd time not so lucky. So got lost on the road somewhere. No idea why and how it would just fly off back hitting a bump.

This was installed as directed, however, when riding my dual sport motorcycle on uneven ground, the case came off and flew off the bike. The "latch" is not secure enough to hold the case on the platform on bumps. Additionally, there is too much wobble/play between the case and the platform which rattles constantly and played a part in the case coming off. A more secure method is needed to secure the case to the platform. I had to bolt it down to the platform by drilling a hole in the bottom of the case through the platform and bolting it down which makes it impossible to easily remove the case if you want to take it with you when you park your motorcycle.
