Works great
My wife's niece uses she lives in England so we thought we would give them a try and they work great they do clean the clothes and last a long time you should probably take them out before the rent cycle to some people it might be a hassle but in the worst case you leave them in and they just don't last as long but still a long time they are well worth the money we ordered two bags because you have to pay shipping and handling at almost $10 so you might as well get more than one came on time as described will be buying again.

Awesome & Amazing
So, after hearing a lot about soap nuts on a person's blog, I decided to do my own research... decided that I loved them, and scoured around for the best price. I wanted to buy a fair amount of these babies, but not TOO much, because if I didn't like them, or they didn't work... what was I going to do?!I searched on independent websites, Ebay, and then Amazon...Thank you, Amazon. And thank you NaturOli Soap NutsI found this size of soap nuts to be exactly what I needed. I also ordered some essential oil (lavender) from a seller off of Ebay, because I kept reading a lot about it being nice to add some to the cloth bag along with the soap nuts. So when the shipment arrived, that's what I did! I put about 4 soap nuts in the little bag, put some lavender oil on the inside, closed the bag, tossed it in the wash BEFORE adding the clothes... and washed on a cold cycle. After the wash was done, I moved them to the dryer, along with the bag, to dry the soap nuts. The clothes came out AMAZING. They smelled great, were clean, and very soft. I wasn't expecting the softness!I will be buying these again, for sure, once mine run out... especially with how affordable and long-lasting they are compared to detergent! Plus, there's the added bonus of being able to make household cleaners and liquid soap out of them... I love these so much. Now, if only the rest of my family and friends would come on board and use these... :)

It's easy to use and does not leave any residue in the wash machine or dryer
I am so pleased with these laundry Soap Nuts or Berries! I was looking for something to use on my baby's clothes and these Soap Berries are perfect! Not only are they eco-friendly, but the smell is divine and they leave a wonderful scent behind that lasts. I've been using Soap Berries for years and I'm so happy with the results. It's easy to use and does not leave any residue that could irritate my skin.

NaturOli Soap Nuts
I already use Dr. Bronner's Sal Suds to replace my commercial brand petroleum-base toxic laundry detergent and hand dish soap. However, I like to try different non-toxic cleaner, and I find Soap Nuts works well for washing regular laundry, it is very mild for laundry and the cloth turn out to be clean and soft. The only problem I have is when I tried to pre-soak the bloody stain, it didn't work at all, maybe there's a way to get ride of it with Soap Nuts, but I just don't know how. When my laundry is done washing with Soap Nuts, I end up using Sal Suds to get ride of the blood stain, before I put the cloth in the dryer.Overall, I would recommend this soap nuts to other people, it is another non-toxic way to wash your laundry.

Did not work for my hair
I bought these to try as a natural alternative to shampoo. I boiled the soap nuts in distilled water, whipped it up into a foam and used the foam and water to wash my hair. The foam you get from these is not like foam from shampoo or soap that you can spread around. The foam is very thin and watery; when you touch it, it goes right back to liquid. The results on my hair were not good and my scalp was not clean at all. I know people who do the whole "no poo" thing say there's a transition period and all that but my scalp doesn't get that oily in the first place, even with normal sulfate free shampoo I only need to wash my hair once a week. The smell of these isn't awful. They won't make your hair smell good like normal shampoo products but they don't make your hair smell bad. My hair just smelled like hair. The soap nuts themselves have a light sour apple-y smell. I bought a Viori shampoo bar and I'm going to give that a try next.I have not tried these with laundry but I'm going to give it a go. My hypothesis is that they could work reasonably well for laundry. My clothes obviously don't get nearly as much oil build up on them like hair and scalp.

Worked better than I hoped, and a great price.
I was first interested in these because I have sensitive skin. I was hopeful they would work well for me in that regard, but I was worried they wouldn't do much for cleaning. They were inexpensive enough, though, that I was willing to try them. And, I was pleasantly surprised! They remove dirt and sweat well from clothes while being gentle on them. My towels come clean well, too. I use them both for warm and cold wash cycles. When I use cold, though, I will soak them in a coffee mug filled with hot water until a little bit of white film shows up on top (about five minutes--usually the time it takes for me to gather the clothes for the load and put them in the washer). Also surprising was how long they lasted. Doing 3-5 medium loads a week, this order lasted about 8 weeks for me! Now that I am doing 5-7 medium to large sized loads, each bag of 5 lasts a laundry day plus part of the next one.One important tip, though, is to remember to pre-treat food stains. The lack of harsh chemicals here require that you soak and soap any stains right away. I've always had troubles removing food stains, though, unless I treated with a "pen."I ordered more! (in larger quantity, of course, and I really like the 18X sample they sent!) And my mom is trying out some from my new order. Maybe she will become a new customer, too!

They look like the native soap berries that grow in our southern ...
These soap berries are not what I expected. I thought they were larger than they turned out to be. They look like the native soap berries that grow in our southern states. They work fine, I'm just disappointed with their size. The ones that come from Napal are twice the size.
