This is a bright powerful light. Powerful because it is powered by 6 2400mAh 18650 batteries. This is a LOT of battery power. I have several flashlights that run on a single 18650 and they are extremely bright so imagine 6. It will operate with just 1 up to all 6 of the batteries if you choose. This is one of my favorite parts about this light. I can use these batteries in all my other lights that use 18650 batteries as well if needed. Also this can be used as a power bank for your phone or other similar items. The five light modes all work well and I had no problem illuminating my entire front yard. The emergency light is unlike any I have ever seen on a light. From a distance someone would believe it to be an emergency vehicle because that's exactly what it looks like. It's an alternating strobe light of red and blue. I haven't charged the batteries yet because they were already charged when I received it. The instructions state that it takes 8 hours to charge but would be less if you have less batteries in it while you charge. A single 18650 battery only takes about 3 hours in my chargers for my flashlights. Now as far as the light housing and stand this is where I dropped a star off. In my pictures you can see that there is chipped yellow paint on both sides of the arms that hold the light. I'm a little ocd about things like this when they are brand new. Also I feel like the battery door is a weak point. Don't bang anything hard into it because it feels like it would be brittle plastic and possibly crack easily. That aside if your careful with your things you should be fine. All in all a good light. If I run into any issues in the future I will update this review.

The light is very bright. Seems to be made with quality material. Rechargeable batteries is a great feature. The only drawback is having to cycle through all modes to turn off.

After receiving my SYLSTAR Work Light I charged it for about 2 hours and it was ready to go. One thing that is really cool about this light is that each battery is removable, and the light can run off of one battery. This allows you to manage your lighting for long term settings. I can see this being very handy in a power outage where you want to make sure that you get the full use out of each battery. There are 6 lithium rechargeable batteries in all but the light will run off of one at a time.Where I live it is very busy and I often find myself working when it's dark doing yard work. I set up my work light and was able to cut my grass at night time, and feel safe like the cars passing by could see me. There is a hidden RED/BLUE flashing hazard light feature that is also pretty cool. Let's just say this, when I was trimming the edges of my yard I used this feature and none of the cars were going 60 in a 35 like they normally do! That alone wins me over.Since I've had it I've found myself using it every day. One thing I wish I had, was 5 more of them! Overall the quality is decent, the assembly is effortless, and the light is extremely bright. Overall the light has lasted over 4 hours on one charge on the brightest setting and it's still working. I would expect to get at least 20 hours of run time out of the batteries when they are fully charged.The light does not come with a full size stand like it has pictured. I honestly didn't expect it to be included for the low price they have this light at but I wanted to add that. You will need to order the stand from SYLSTAR too which they have on their Amazon Store Front.I strongly recommend this work light because it's bright, affordable, has rechargeable batteries, a safety light mode, and is very good quality. You won't be mad and if you're looking for a gift for the person in your life that does a lot of yard work or construction type work, then this is the perfect gift. They will thank you later, trust me!

As others have stated, the light levels go from low to VERY bright. It can also go from broad to narrow beam, like a flashlight. The manual and description calls them something different for some reason. I am very please to say that the stated durations for various light levels are NOT overstated. I ran a test at the highest level and it stayed on for over 3 hours after a full charge. The key to the light level and duration is mostly about the batteries.I was curious to find out what type of batteries were being used beyond "18650" which is like saying A or AA. 18560 is simply a measure of the size of the battery. I contacted the seller (via Amazon messaging) to get more details. They responded very quickly! Turns out the use one of the highest capacity Lithium Ion batteries being made right now. They are called "ternary" Li-ion because of the chemistry used. These batteries have had a bad rap in the past due to misuse and abuse - but when used with this device they should be very safe. The light has built-in overcharge and discharge protection circuitry to ensure the batteries are not stressed under normal usage. If you are technically curious, in this device, they charge up to 4.13v and discharge to 3.31v both well within the safety range for this specific battery type. That gave me some comfort. Although the description states you get (6) 1800mAh batteries, mine came with (6) 2400mAh batteries providing even more capacity to stay lit longer. As recommended, I agree that it is good practice to take the batteries out of the device when not is used. This is a safety recommendation in case the batteries start an uncontrolled draining when not in use. I keep mine in a fire-safe storage bag.The manual neglects to tell you that the charging light will be RED while charging and turn GREEN when done. Another nice touch.I do wish the feet and handle were a little less bulky allowing for easier storage in the back of my car. Overall should be pleased with the value of this portable work light.
