I love this notebook!The cover is made from a stiff cardboard, which is really handy when you need to write on a hard surface but don’t have a table.The line height is very narrow; narrower than the “college-ruled” type paper. Note that this is A4 paper that is perforated, so the notebook is bigger than a standard piece of 8.5” x 11” piece of paper. This is nice because you can actually fit 8.5 x 11 inch paper into the notebook without having to bend it or have the edges stick out of the side.There are two versions of this notebook — the older version does not have the little square design in each corner, but has a little more real estate for writing. The newer version does not have a left lined margin. Amazon seems to sell the newer version of the notebook.

When I worked for a French company, I picked up a large Oxford Activebook notebook and fell in love with the European paper quality [80 grammes per square meter aka 22 pound US thickness]. The notebook has thick, smooth, bright paper; microperforated inner edge, a inch-wide leading margin with faint guidelines from the grid on the other side. It takes fountain pen ink on both sides. The narrow square rule allows smaller writing, better diagrams.Although these ship all the way from Germany (and cost a premium), I ordered three because I love the one I have and was not confident in what I saw from the American products. Sadly these were not what I expected. I should have ordered A3 size (about 11x16 inches) instead of A5 (5x8 inches). The quality is as good or better - this one has sturdy plastic covers and includes punch holes and dividers for ring binder notebooks, excellent paper. My 3-star rating (which to me is a good/average rating) is not because of a poor product - quality is great! But for a smaller notebook, it is more expensive than I would have paid if I had known (partly due to international shipping, I'm sure).

I was expecting the flexible plastic cover version and the hard covers. Everything else was fine.

Like everything about these - have used only these for work and personal projects for at least ten years. Polypropylene cover makes them tough, and the perforated pages you can remove with holes already made for filing are very useful if you are using one book for different things. I love them and am a serious repeat user/buyer. My favourite notebook.

Despite the somewhat garish covers - these are excellent notebooks.The cover is 'Stiff but flexible" and is a bit higher/wider than the pages. Makes it easy to pack into the 'Tumi' style laptop/brefcases we all seem to have to carry.The book is strongly bound - so no irritating wire bindings.Paper is very good quality but not too thick - so the books last for ages, Changing books is a major trauma for me as all sorts of notes have to be transferred.Low tech I know - but essential for a businessman on the move. Much better than my 2nd choice, the ubiquitous 'Black n red'. These are hard to find - online wins again.

These meeting books are great. I was first given one at work when they arrived by mistake as part of an order. The elastic band like holder which clips over the front cover prevents loose item from falling out. The perforated and pre-punched pages allow you use the note book for different purposes and then remove the pages for inserting into a ring bind folder. Great for students and business folk. The only down side of these books is the cost of nearly £12 each. As a result of cost my company has removed them from the approved purchase list, thus the reason I made my purchase from Amazon using my own money.

As you probably know if you're looking to buy this product, it is so incredibly difficult to find a notebook with narrow ruled pages. I am really particular about the sort of paper I can work on as the size of the lines determines how neat and organised my work turns out, so to find the right notebook for me is very important for my studies. This one ticks all the boxes. Hardback and wire-bound, good quality paper with narrow ruling, tear-away perforated pages, margins and a handy space for writing titles and other info at the top.Have stocked up for the rest of the year and very happy to replenish supplies when needed as I know I will receive an extremely useful and quality product that is delivered in good time - for me, well worth the price.

Love these. Use them to wrote out lyrics and chords to songs for carrying Round to gigs with my guitar. So geek friendly and organised with little boxes for this and that. Love it so much I bought a other one!!
