Easy to use. Bright. Have had power failures and this lantern is great.

I needed a small light for the bathroom to use at night when the main bath light is too bright. The small motion detector light in the bath is great, but it goes out after 20 seconds. I don’t like to be in the dark in the bathroom. I don’t want to turn on regular lights that might wake up my spouse or dog. This lantern is perfect. It doesn’t take up much room. Is heavy enough to stay put. And it can be a little bit of light or light up a room as if it were daytime. The added value is - if the power goes out, this would make a great emergency light.

First the good. I like how durable it is; it has made it through several drops. The 750 lumens makes this lantern quite bright . I also like the rubber that surrounds the middle and bottom. I purchased three of these. They are perfect for camping. I used to use an oil lantern but these are so much easier. Just plop in 3 c batteries and I'm ready to go.I like the shape of the handle as well; it doesn't hurt my fingers when I carry it. I put one of these on a few trees at night while I'm camping and voila, I have enough light to make it look like dawn. :) I also like that there are 3 settings for brightness. Another plus is that it is made of durable plastic.The bad: about the only thing would be that it's battery operated. I have so many c batteries they will last me, probably, a whole year. Also, it would be nice if it were waterproof.

- This is a repeat purchase. I've been using a Luxpro Lantern for well over a year, and I could not be better pleased. It is light, seems ruggedly built, and the battery life is impressive. I'm still on my first set of batteries. The lanterns sheds a clear white light that is bright enough to comfortably read by. The variable power setting is nothing short of brilliant (sic). This is a quality product, and I recommend it unreservedly based on my experience.- I'm subtracting one star from this rating because the lantern I received today is missing the control knob. I could return it, but I need the lantern, and I can cobble together something that will work. I'm just disappointed that my second purchase should be incomplete.

I purchased this for a family member with MS.The on-off switch is a rotating knob that she can use easily. Many are press on off but this ls an easy rotating knob.Brightness is excellent and it is small enough to sit on a table and beside the bed in case the electricity goes out. She can grab it and be safe to walk to the bathroom or just around her apartment.I suggest it for ease of use for the home, camping or whatever reason you need a small bright light form

Somehow, I ordered a bunch of c-cell batteries by mistake (I needed d-cells) and I did not have a single device that used c-cells. So, I figured that to remedy the situation I needed to buy something to help me consume them. I purchased a flashlight and this lantern - both use c-cells - and I glad I did. This lantern is surprisingly good. I like the light intensity adjustment and the fact that it is compact but yet very bright.

I'd give this 5-Stars if I'd received new merchandise - but what I received looked to be a secondhand item.Very BRIGHT! Adjustable brightness - the low-medium settings are just right for camping - inside and outside a tent.I previously bought two of these at Lowe's. They are currently packed away with my camping gear. With the forecast for thunderstorms where I live for the next two weeks and the potential for power outages, I realized I need at least one of these handy in case of a power failure.Amazon currently has a good deal, BUT the item I received seems to have been someone else's return: the item's packaging seems to have been opened previously, the lantern was dusty, and the lantern's plastic "globe" was slightly scratched.I paid full price - I'm not happy receiving (and having to return) SECONDHAND MERCHANDISE. I'm returning it for (Hopefully, a NEW) replacement.

I live in hurricane alley. Every time a storm approaches, grocery and hardware stores run out of D-cell batteries. Meanwhile, the C-cell bin remains virtually untouched. Over a couple years, I have converted all flashlights and lanterns to C-cell versions - and made certain all were equipped with LED lights instead of conventional bulbs. LED lights require about 1/10th the electricity of filament-style bulbs. This is a good little lantern.
