A great, little hosepipe system.
I only have a small garden which is roughly 5 m x 6 m so I did not require a large, bulky hose which would have ended up tangled in a corner. The tap adapter fits perfectly and even with the tap turned all the way on there is no leaking from this system. The water gun is a joy to use, offering plenty of choice in how the water is dispersed. Although it is a narrower hosepipe I find this is not a problem. While in use, the retaining box is light enough to carry around while watering my raised borders and hanging baskets. I would certainly recommend this product to anyone who requires a hosepipe system for a smaller garden area.

Small, light and convenient
This is a pretty good all-in-one device, which makes both purchasing and using it convenient as all the pieces you need from tap to spout, as it were, are there. As is often the case with garden hoses, things don't quite roll up and unfurl as neatly as you'd wish or you see in an advert, but it all works pretty well. Even though the hose gets kinks now and again, it's not too serious and everything being lightweight makes untangling anything fairly easy. There are five different settings for the water spray (or rather 10 as there's a low and high volume option on each) - more than enough to cover all the different ways in which you might want to apply water to a garden. One note about taps: mine works fine with my outside tap. So although others have stated that an adapter is needed, it's worth checking carefully first as I, at least, would otherwise have ended up buying an unnecessary adaptor.

Total Junk
From a design aspects this meets my needs perfectly. It's compact, easy to manoeuvre and just the right length for my garden. The same can't be said for quality. The first one had a hole in the main hose and the replacement had a faulty tap connector which flew off every time I turned the tap on. These are non-replaceable so I couldn't even swap one to the other.Considering this is a Prime item the quality control is terrible and faulty items shouldn't be put back in stock.

Wow, don't know why I didn't get one of these earlier...
Wow, was so impressed with this I cant believe I didn't treat myself earlier having had used a watering can before.I use this in my back garden to water my bonsai and grass and find it amazingly easy. The hose attachment allows for different sprays which covers all that I need. The reel housing is so simple and can easily be put away after use and the length of the hose covers the garden with ease. The smaller hose tube makes it easy to wind back up and avoids any kinks and I didn't notice any fall in water pressure from this at all.Overall, I love this reel and would highly recommend this to anyone with a small garden for all your watering needs.

Useless
I’ve had this two weeks and it’s split. The split is right up by the spray gun so I tried cutting off the small piece of hose with the split and reattaching. No joy. Completely and utterly useless. I give up with these fancy hoses. They cannot cope with the water pressure locally. I’m going back to cheap and cheerful Lidl for my next one. A least the hose I bought from them previously had the good grace to last a whole year before splitting.

Convienent and reasonable price
Does exactly what u need at a reasonable price. The head leaks (which I've seen on a few reviews is quite common) but this doesn't bother me too much and it isn't the most powerful spray but does the job. It's easy to hold and being hoselock you know it's going to be compatible with their other products such as a sprinkler or different head. Annoyingly the description didn't say it came with the screw on adaptor for the tap which it did so I bought this separately then had to return it). It's light and easy to use and I would reccomend for anyone with a small garden who wants to ease watering their lawn or flower beds. The 10m is actually made up of 1 8m hose, then the unit then another 2m hose. You can switch the head to either end though so that's quite convienent.

I love this!
About a thousand times better than the expandable disaster I'd bought previously. That thing needed a special fitting for the outdoor standard tap; it leaked/sprayed continuously, no matter what I did or how much teflon tape was used. The sprayer it came with did the same; I had to wear clothing I didn't mind getting drenched each time I needed it. The hose itself split and burst! It barely got used; maybe a dozen times? Not worth a quid, let alone the £20 or so paid.Went in a different direction this time. Intrigued by the compact reel. It is DIVINE. For our tiny garden, it's perfect. Not a single leak. Nicely reels, very lightweight, yet seems very well made/sturdy. The sprayer is fantastic! I just didn't realise I could actually love a garden hose. But when you've used a terrible example, it makes a proper one stand out. It genuinely makes me happy to use it.Great purchase; will never again use another brand whilst in the UK. Thank you, Hozelock, for making a clever, quality product.

Just what I needed
This hose has been a godsend for watering my small garden during the recent drought. The reel is ightweight and is easily concealed behind a herb pot when not in use. I notice other reviewers have felt the hose was shorter than advertised, but mine is certainly the full 10m. In fact when the hose length is combined with the length of the squirt, I've been able to water a shrub in the far corner of my garden, which is over 10m away. The spray attachment gives the same choice of spray patterns as you would get on a larger hose, and I've had no leaks. The hose has been in daily use since I purchased it in June, and I'm delighted with it. My only gripe is that I wish it could be supplied in a less garish colour. The 2m of bright yellow hose which run from my tap to the reel stick out like a sore thumb behind my water feature. Dark green or black would be far less obtrusive, especially in the small spaces for which it is designed.
