My beard is grown out long enough but has a little patch area on one side. I use the derma roller along with the biotin beard oil. As far as results remains to be seen as I've only been using this a short time. I would recommend the kit it is a great buy.

I had some thinning spots going on in my beard, I was skeptical about this working at first but it definitely has made the beard hair thicker filling in the lighter spots.

Decent beard oil, my bf did not like all the ingredients that were added so he just uses the tool hence the 3 stars

So I have worn a goatee for most of my adult life, but only periodically grown a full beard. This year, I decided to grow a beard again, and was surprised to find that the hair on the sides was quite a bit thinner than my goatee hair. Besides being quite a bit greyer, it was all thin, wiry, and pretty out of control. I ran across this care kit and decided to give it a shot.The kit comes with a little needle roller, which is supposed to help unclog some hair follicles and promote increased blood flow to the hairs, promoting better growth, and potentially waking up some of the dormant follicles. The first question that people ask me about it is whether the roller hurts to use, and the answer is no. It can feel a little prickly, but it has never induced any pain. The kit includes a nice beard oil, as well.So after growing the beard for a couple months, I took a "before" picture, and then shaved off the beard, and started the new regimen, including rolling the area once a day, and then oiling the skin. I did that for two weeks straight, and then started to allow the beard hair to grow again, while continuing the routine. (As my hair got longer, it seemed like the roller was less efficient, but I continued promoting blood flow by rubbing the area, and continued to use the oil).So the oil is nice. It smells nice, and my skin loves it. The hair that has grown since I started the regimen is softer hair, and a little bit less wiry, so it's a little bit easier to tame. I don't believe that this has helped the hair strands to be any stronger or thicker. And it's really difficult to say if any of my old, dormant follicles have started to regrow any hair.So, while the hair that is growing is a little bit more manageable, it hasn't achieved my primary goal, which was to thicken the hair on the sides to more closely match the density and thickness of the hair growing on my chin, they way it used to be 15-20 years ago. It's possible that I haven't given it enough time. The instructions tell you how to do it, but not how long it might take to see some of the desired results, which would have been some nice information. I have followed the regimen religiously for about two months, but I have read that some of the other therapies for increasing hair growth can take as long as six months to see results.I am sure that my skin is healthier, and I had zero itching as the beard was regrowing, but it's becoming obvious to me that I am probably just going to be a goatee guy from here on out.

My fiancé has been trying to find something that works for patchy spots on his beard. This product has thickened the spots up!
