A fun story with awesome illustrations!
This is the perfect book for any kid. Dramatic baseball moments, comical nicknames, hilarious fiascos, sidesplitting illustrations, and lots of farts. What more could a kid want in a book?! Even adults will enjoy this story. Characters Tommy and Pel, competing for a coveted spot on the Bulldogs baseball team, are sure to entertain! But, behind all of their crazy escapades, Tommy and Pel teach about the meaning of true friendship.

Fun book
This book is great for silly kids! There are lots of gross jokes (which my son absolutely loves), so he throughly enjoyed reading it. The illustrations are also great. We're looking forward to the next one!

My 9 year old liked it
I didn't read this book - my 9 year old son (who is a voracious reader) did. His review is summarized here:This book is great for 8-9 year old kids (no matter their gender), especially those like playing and/or watching baseball. (But really, any sport could work.) He thought it was funny and enjoyable, and he liked the two narrators sharing the story. He gave it 4.3 stars and would recommend it to his friends. He didn't think it was too advanced for his age, but wasn't meant for emerging readers either. Just right for the grades 2-3 readers who enjoy funny books and good stories.

Very fun book book for all!
t is so nice to find an older elementary/middle school book aimed at boys. This book really hits the mark of a good book and I am looking forward to reading more from this author and more about Tommy,Pel and the team, if there were to be a sequel to this book.A book about two friends, one who love baseball and takes it very seriously and the other friend, a gamer with no interest in sports, but with natural talent for baseball, competing for a single spot on the team. Definitely geared towards boys ,complete with farts and learning about protective equipment! There are a number of really good lessons in this book that are very well illustrated in the story line by the author. I am so impressed by the approach taken by the author and I think this book would really appeal to boys, even if they are not into baseball. The baseball terminology was handled will so even if the reader does not know the lingo, you can figure it out or it is explained by anther character or the situation. I like the interactions between the characters, the positive interactions and lessons, and those where there is something to be learned. These are lessons that can have real-life implications. Geared towards boys, I bet there might be some girls who might find this a fun read also. This is a stand-out book I would totally recommend. I especially love the lesson on friendship and competition that is addressed, especially towards boys. This would make a fun classroom read also, good for 4th/5th graders.Highly recommend this book!!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!!⭐️ 1 star - I don't recommend it at all.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, poorly written or bad information.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - Good Book. Not for me. Not the most well written.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Very good book quite, I would recommend and well written.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Book that I totally recommend and could not put down. Well written and a book I would read again
