Works flawlessly
Whatever problems people were reporting with this ECG monitor earlier, I think EMAY must have been paying attention and corrected them because I've been using it for a couple weeks with no issues. It's unbelievably easy to use--pretty much automatic. You need the app in order to see your test results. It's a piece of cake to download, and it's free. That's all you have to do--download it. No hoop jumping required. I downloaded it and it just showed up on my phone ready to go.I entered my name and date of birth once and now it shows up on every reading. I have yet to make the effort to set the time and date, I really should do that soon. There's space to enter notes on each reading if you want to.HOW IT WORKS: Turn on the device and hold it in both hands until it beeps. Open the app and click "Connect," it does, and your reading shows up on your phone. If you've taken a few readings without connecting, when you do, all of them upload in chronological order. I think there might be a limit to how many the app will hold on your phone, but so far, I'm up to seventeen. You can save readings as PDFs or as images in your photo file. From there, do whatever you want with them--save them, send them, like that. The monitor came with a charging cord, but I haven't needed to use it yet--it was charged up when I got it.This is a cool little device that gives me peace of mind. I'm happy to have it.

Allowed me to identify and abnormal rhythm with first use
This is one product where writing a great review is easy. It comes with a paper manual that is easy to read, and includes tips for obtaining the best EKG's. They also provide a video link in the manual. The battery is rechargeable, so one does not have to replace the product when the battery runs down. Best of all there is no subscription. The app allows for easy collection of the EKG's on your phone or tablet . One can change the speed, and gain on the fly to optimize the tracing appearance after it is recorded, and also change the default settings to your liking. Sharing of the tracing via conversion to PDF is easy and the quality of the tracing looks like the one from your doctor's office. The photo above is my own EKG recorded on my chest wall.I found that cleaning the electrodes with alcohol the first few time I used it greatly enhanced the quality of the recordings. Perhaps there is some leftover residual from the manufacturing process. I also found that applying one lead to my chest wall (one of the recommended procedures)provided the best tracing, see the photo. The unit is small enough to be easily carried on trips.I was able to identify skipped beats I have as Premature Atrial Contractions within a few minutes of using it. I will be also using it to monitor my paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.Really happy with the quality of this product.

Easy to use. Get it. You won't regret it.
This Emay EKG monitor is a great little tool to help you track your heart health. It is small, portable, easy to use, has a built-in long lasting rechargeable lithium battery And best of all, there is no subscription required. Therefore, no on going expenses. An excellent easy to understand user manual is included. It is immensely helpful. Do yourself a favor and refer to it as needed. It has the answers to most of your "how to" questions.Just so you know, I am 80 years old and not at all tech savvy. I had no problem setting it up, using it, downloading and installing the software from the Emay website to my PC and using the APP on my smart phone enabled by bluetooth. This is not the case when I usually get a new device. Generally my stress level goes into overdrive, Not fun.I found the power button needs to be held down a little longer than the 3-5 seconds noted in the instructions (probably due to my age). It also took me a while to get the correct hand position, grip, and pressure right for recording. After a few practice sessions, I figured it out. If someone like me can use this, you certainly can too. Get it, use it. You won't regret it.

Easy and efficient
First time buyer/user of this kind of device. Bouncing between the watch and this and I'm very happy with my choice to get this device. Very easy to use with a number different testing methods. Gives me peace of mind in 30 seconds when I feel palpitations or arrhythmia. A recent and unexpected heart attack which left me with ongoing heart failure prompted me to have a device such as this at my fingertips and I can send the test reports directly to my cardiologist as needed. Great product and recommend to anyone with similar conditions.
