Few Tweaks Needed
Like most, I was very excited to get this case for my Raspberry Pi 3B Retropie setup. I followed the instructions for assembly, and overall, it wasn't extremely hard to setup. However, I had two points that caused some issues:1.) Small problem: The fan. I assembled it so that the logo side is facing downward, which pulls air into the case instead of pushing hot air out. Flipping the fan over doesn't work because the screws are too long with the openings on the one side, so you either need smaller screws, or you have to put in the fan upside down (or is it right side up)? I would have chosen the airflow in the opposite direction, but I haven't had any overheating issues, so I guess the direction of airflow isn't that important as long as there is air flow.2.) Bigger Problem: When I first downloaded the script following the instructions from the website and the ones included in the box, it didn't work. You push the power button, and it turns on, but then the LED shuts off, and pressing the power button again didn't do anything. Nor did the restart button. I had to download the alternative script as pointed out in the other guy's review (follow his instructions for the custom forked script). Also, neither script worked on an older version of Retropie, so I ended up reinstalling Retropie to the newest version 4.8 (buster) and then setting up the custom user script and everything works beautifully now. The power button turns it on, the LED lights up (it sometimes turns off temporarily, then turns back on when it finishes loading), the Reset button will exit the game and dump you back into the menu, and if you push the power button when it's on, it will perform a shutdown, then cut power (and shut off the fan.) Exactly like I expect it to work. Now that I have it working, it's a wonderful little addition! Tiny footprint, and the power button is much more convenient than plugging and unplugging the RPi.

Nice Case But Some Small Modifications Needed
Overall this is a great case but it does need a few modifications. The main issue I was reading in other reviews was that the screws for the fan would create stress marks on the top of the case. Unfortunately, none of those reviews seemed to mention which way they installed the fan.One side of the fan has a sticker. This is the side that air is blown out of. If you install the fan where it is blowing air at the Raspberry Pi, it means it will be sucking air in through the top of the case. However, if you reverse it where the air is blowing out through the top of the case, the included screws will go deeper into the fan. This may be what is causing the stress marks mentioned by so many others. In building a normal PC, fans in top should always blow out as hot air rises. Maybe that doesn't matter in such a small case, but I wanted to do this correctly and not be sloppy with any of it. I was also concerned with the fan blowing dust directly onto the raspberry if I installed it sucking air into the case.I ran to the hardware store and bought a pack of Metric 3 mm washers (smallest I could find. 2mm may have been better but 3mm worked just fine). I also grabbed a hobby knife. The venting on the top of the NESPi Case+ is mostly completely blocked. With the hobby knife I trimmed away the plastic between the ridges on the top of the case to open up the vents much more. Then I installed the fan so it would be blowing air up out of the top of the case. I used two washers for each of the three screws that went into the fan to prevent any stress marks occurring on top of the case. This seems to have worked perfectly. You can feel the wind blowing out of the top when everything is sealed up and the system is running. No stress marks to be seen. These modifications seem to keep the raspberry cooler than what some other reviewers mentioned.I installed cyperghost's script for using the front side buttons of the NESPi case for graceful shutdown and restart and have everything setup just as I wanted. The fan is quiet, so I'm not sure what happened for those complaining of loud fans. I've also not encountered any issues inserting the sd card, even though I've pulled it out and reinserted it several times.Very happy with this case since I was never able to get one of those NES Classics that everyone swarmed over back in 2016. Still kind of ticked with Nintendo for not meeting the demand on those when they first came out. Now I have my own that I can add as many games to as I want.

Great case, bad QC
Good case, but buyer beware: QC seems to have issues. I had three problems with the first case. The USB hub didn’t work (main issue), one of my power supply cables wouldn’t connect or power on the device (another one did), and the fan was noisy sometimes. This caused me to knock a star off for time spent troubleshooting my new purchase. However, all three issues resolved when I got a replacement case. The replacement is perfect and everything works as expected. I love the look and the functionality. The script to get the power switch to work correctly was easy to download and it works without issue for me. Fan is reasonably quiet and doesn’t whine like the first one did. Pi seems to stay cool according to the temperature readings given when I shut it down after running an emulator. No complaints at all. It’s a pretty sweet case actually and I’m very happy the replacement actually works.I was skeptical I got a defective product the first time as I’ve never encountered that before and everything looked fine by eye. I spent a reasonable amount of time troubleshooting potential hardware or software issues with both the pi and case before giving up.My advice if you are considering this case is to make sure you are doing things correctly first - watch the installation video above, use a proper 5V 2.5+amp power supply, and be cautious with the installation. This is important, I noticed a lot of complaints here seem to be from user error most likely. That said, if you did everything correctly and something is not working, just have them replace it as some cases apparently have issues.

Great looking case
Great looking case fits the pi 3b+ perfectly. Only issues i have had is with installing the script for the safe shutdown/reset buttons (take note of the on/off switch inside the case it must be switched on for the safe shutdown to work) however i have been unsuccessful with getting it to work. The two buttons do however work to hard reset/shutdown the pi without needing to install the script. The rpi does run a bit hot in this case around 55-60 C most likely do to lack of air flow inside the case. Over all i would definitely recommend this case for anyone running retropie

Missing screws and SD card slot doesn't align well with board
My order was missing 2 screws for the board. Probably because of that, the SD card slot is not exactly where it should. Sometimes, while pushing or pulling the card it makes it drop in the case and you have to unscrew everything and open the case and shake it to retrieve the SD card! Another problem is the fan... Way too loud. I am not satisfied and I don't recommend this case. To make everything worst amazon is having some technical problems that prevents me from contacting GeekPi! I Can't even ask them to send me the missing screws! I will ask for a refund soon if the situation doesn't change.

Nice little NES pi case
goes together pretty easily with included screwdriver, I like the built in USB hub and the power/reset buttons actually work. The lid opens to reveal 2 more usb ports, which is a nice touch. at the bottom where there'd be an unused expansion port on an original NES there's a compartment to stash extra SD cards. It comes with the dinkiest little fan I've ever seen and a couple junk heatsinks which I seriously doubt do anything, but even running at full bore the fan is barely noticable. You're not going to overclock your pi with this, but it'll look pretty cool next to your tv.*UPDATE*I've had it for about a month and a half now, and the included fan is already showing signs of being burnt out (makes a horrible racket on boot but quiets down when up to speed). The case is great otherwise, but don't buy this for the included cooling stuff.

Amazing Case and accesories
This product is awesome. It comes with everything you need to put your Raspberry Pi in a quality case. And if you want to use your Pi to play 3D intense retro games, the heat sinks and fans in this pack make that possible! It even includes heatsinks for all the heat generating chips! And it even comes with a tote bag!Something to note though, the fan is not very silent and even causes some oscillation noise when mounted on the case. a bit of thin foam on the sides of the fan can help dampen that.

Great case. However
Great case. However, as someone else mentioned, the screws for the fan are too long and it doesn't come with the nuts/washers to compensate for it. My first one also was DOA (two wires that connect the Pi to the PCB were broken right off). Amazon refunded it, so I've got another one on the way. Fingers crossed for this one.Edit: Second order came in with no issues. I messaged the company that makes the cases (RetroFlag) about a potential issue with the PCB; they had incredibly fast response time (<1day) and were extremely helpful. In the end, there was no problem with the PCB, I was just being overly cautious as I was concerned about frying my Pi (even though they're only like $40 lol). I can't recommend this case enough (just know you'll need to get some washers to add to the fan screws)
