Nice upgrade, you might want brighter bulbs
I picked up this set of 4 light housings for my 2001 Jeep XJ Cherokee since 3 out of 4 of the original lights were cracked. Instead of getting standard replacements, I think these smoke color lights give a cool, more modern look on the silver Jeep (if only the original paint job looked this good!). The housings themselves seem to be comparable quality to the original lights that were in the Jeep. Since these are smoke/uncolored light housings and the original housings had clear bulbs, I installed some amber 3157 and 194 incandescent bulbs. I found that the smoked lenses dim the lights significantly, so I will probably install some brighter amber LEDs instead, but for now the incandescent bulbs are working and I like the look of the new lights. Would recommend!

Plug and Play with my XJ
At this point I'm fixin on installing switchback LED's so they'll act as DRL's when the headlamps are off. I'll have to figure out the wiring. Until then, it is a real cool look with my white XJ.
