Stock Charts For Dummies

If you're new to charting and technical analysis you should definitely get this book, One of the best investments I have ever made. So many books out there tell you how to use charts in your analysis - but this book actually teaches you how to build charts! I've been a follower of Greg's work for some time, so purchasing this book was a no brainer, but I was still very pleasantly surprised at the amount of information inside. Of all the books/blogs/websites I've seen on building charts this is one of the best. This is a must have for any trader. A nice layout and simple easy to implement directions. Increase profits and minimize your risk. Do yourself a favor- buy it, study it, and use it to invest wisely!

I am new to trading and this books really helped me open up my basic knowledge to learn more. Some terms were a little difficult, but overall best place to start. I have bought a copy for my younger brother, and purchased 5 other books by Mr. Kratter.

Like most "For Dummies" books, it is well written, easy to understand, and very useful. It is so useful that I will give this book to family members and friends so they can learn charting. When I purchased the book I had no idea that much of the book's contents revolved around the website stockcharts.com. With that in mind, I still give the book 4 stars as it is extremely thorough and useful whether someone is a user of stockcharts.com or not. I would estimate that 33% of the book is great for people who are new to charts. 33% is great for chart veterans. And 33% is specific for stockcharts.com users. (Example: On stockcharts.com, if you want to print a hard copy of a chart, there is a special "print" button on each chart that will size your chart properly and send it to your printer. You do not need to cut and paste and resize the whole web page.) I believe even information like this that is specific to stockcharts.com can still be useful for people who use other websites because likely the tools used on website can also be found on other websites. (It's important for readers to know that almost everything in the book can be done on stockcharts.com without purchasing any kind of monthly subscription.) I've already generated profits from specific items in this book that have more than paid for the cost of the book. Overall, this is a great resource and I will purchase a copy of this book for my son when it is time for him to learn charting.

Easy to understand if you are a beginner. Advanced enough for more sophisticated investors. Read it three times now. Greatly increased my chart analysis ability. Recommended to all my investor friends.

I am a beginner and I had no idea what is StockCharts and how to read it. This books gave me idea of the tradings. I am so glad that I found this book.

Not what I thought it was gonna be.

Written by an experienced technical analyst, this book shows swing, position and longterm traders how to use Stockcharts.com to analyse the market and find stocks with the best potential for significant gains. Not for day traders. Contains lots of excellent information that is worth much more than the price of this book.
