the build quality is good, and it is tight and worked well on my dewalt xr 20v rotary cordless.. deep throat and huge tangs so holds bit solid and tight and the rachet chuck has good positive clicks for easy tightening and loosing the chuck.. i dont think you will be disappointed with this item

Except for very light drilling, this chuck will slip, no matter how frequently and hard you attempt to tighten it (without hammering action even, of course). For light drilling, you probably have no reason to use an SDS drill in the first place, because you can buy an entire cheapie drill at HF for less money that will work better than this chuck. Except for perhaps a few higher quality chucks from Taiwan, I usually avoid cheap keyless chucks entirely, but they are all the rage. At least I boogered-up my cheap drill bit shanks rather than risking a good quality drill bit in it. I can't imagine a job where I'd even attempt to use it again so it's going into the trash can!

Like how well it is made. Make a special tool out of it. Seems to hold the bits very well

I'll be honest, it felt sturdy and well made, but when using it for the first time... I guess it really liked my paddle mixer, because it is on there forever. I tried soaking it in WD40, grabbing it with pliers, hitting it with a hammer and buddy power, but nothing worked. Me and my buddy were completely defeated by its grasp. In conclusion, if you purchase this item, make sure to attach it to your most used tool in conjunction with your rotary hammer, due to the fact that it will be attached to it far after you have left your mark on this earth.
