Have used a handful of times and so far, so good! I love that it stands up and folds to put away.

As a farmer, I'm biased towards rugged construction. This is not "rugged", but is at least tolerable. Don't try it with hard, cold cheeses.I have a very good hand-crank grater, but this is quite acceptable for quick, small jobs, because it's easier to clean. Nothing wrong with it, but you do have to be selective about its use-situations. Asy my father taught me, "Don't swing harder, get a bigger hammer.' This is the "8 oz tack hammer" of graters. Use it accordingly.

Plastic broke after first use.

This is a gift for my son & wasn't exactly what he was looking for...but he's keeping it.The grater sits in the holder well for one size of shredding but the other side doesn't.

So many great aspects. I like to grate a lot of cheese for omelets and scrambled eggs. What I don’t like is the cheese getting on the counters. I like that this contains it so you can get every bit into that omelette. I also like that the middle piece can come apart and you can grate directly over a bowl and it just falls right in. Clean up is also a breeze.
