It takes up to 6 hours to fully charge when charging with the handle only. Solar Camping Lights Solar charging time depends on solar conditions. The solar panel produces 45-60 mA when exposed to sunlight. Note: Solar panels are difficult to fully charge batteries and are mainly used to maintain rechargeable batteries. It takes 40 hours to fully charge the battery if it is only charged by solar energy. Review: How cute is this? - I have to chuckle. This lantern is a practical device but is just cute as it can be. It is about the size of a pint canning jar. It came well packaged, the little user manual is well written, it comes charged so you can check it out first thing. Other reviews suggested that the usb port cover is a weakness, that is true. Another suggested that you could get pinched opening and closing the lantern, and, while I see that as possible it is strikes me as a tad situational (children learning to handle it). The directions say to crank 3-5 minutes in either direction to charge, so I did and am using it to light a dark room right now. It gives off a nice amount of light. Comfortable to read by. Will have to come back at a later time to confirm battery life, but I anticipate this little lantern being a good value for hheoney and plan to order another. Review: Brilliant little lantern - It’s perfect in its simplicity. It’s a lantern that can light up a small room or be dimmed when you need just a little light but don’t want to wake up those around you. It charged by solar panels, usb, and a hand crank when you really have no power. And you can charge your phone with it. Fully charged, as just a light it lasts for several hours . Great for power outrages, camping, or backpacking/ hostel stays. Great value for the money!

Great lantern
This has been great to have on standby during storms, it’s so bright and works really well and we’ve only had to charge it a couple of times over the last year. My only issue is everyone in my house has pinched themselves while closing the lantern, it’s something that everyone should have avoided but you don’t realize you’re doing it until you’re in pain.

A gift for my granny
Bought this for my granny and she’s loves it. Nice size, lightweight, and works great.

Bright light and long lasting lantern
One of my favorite and longest lasting solar lights of this kind. Three different ways to charge, a really strong bright light for how compact the lantern is, and a nice look to it. Can be used inside or out and holds its charge well. Would recommend.

Works very well
This works so well, I ordered a second one. I use it for power outages. Then I discovered it has a flashlight, even better. One charge lasts a long time. I keep one by my bed and the second one in the kitchen. You can adjust the amount of light emitted by how much you pull up the handle. Good value for $$.

Cool, but battery is weak
Cool idea, but batteries are weak. I bought 2 for the price. Both are weak, one more than the other. I do like how the amount of light is controlled with sliding the top up & down. Options with cord charging & solar cool. Just wish batteries where better.

What a amazing light!
We hiked for 4 hours in pitch black and this lit the way. 4 hours that night and turned it on all the next day to test it in a dark room.
