As a family who travels often, I was interested in looking for a blackout tent for over my 1 year old daughter's travel crib. I came across this new product and was impressed with the affordable price and small carrying case. I decided to try it out and I'm so happy I did. I can’t recommend this travel tent enough. It is a genius concept as it allows you to create a large tent frame from a compact bag of poles within a short amount of time. It was super simple to set up but one quick video really helped me the first time around. After that, I was able to set it up and take it apart within minutes. My 1 year old slept soundly with a sound machine in the top pocket as my kids and I were all watching a movie in our hotel beds with headphones on. It’s compact and lightweight, fitting easily into my suitcase which was very important to me. So so so worth it. I knew I wanted and needed this once our baby reached about 3 months old and could only get quality sleep in a blackout room, she is 8months old now. Her bedroom/nursery set up is suuuuper dark so I knew for traveling I needed some kind of sleep pod. I read all the reviews of people who purchased the Sleep Pod and this Hiccapop tent, honestly I couldn’t see a real difference in practice and quality so I went with Hiccapop because of the better price/deal. OMG as a first time mom I am BEYOND pleased with the hiccapop tent. Here are all the aspects of this tent that have made it a 10/10 for me: - SUPER quick assembly (my husband and I assembled it in literally 5 minutes in a cramped airbnb room) - quiet zippers and quiet fabric so there was zero disturbance after baby was asleep. and my baby is SUPER sensitive to noise, she stirs when my knees and ankles pop lol😂 - fits perfect over our standard pack n play - i love all the windows and pockets it has for a fan if you wanted and i LOVE the pocket at the top of the tent for a baby cam. the material of the mesh that holds the cam lets the infrared light see and it has a little velcro strap to keep the camera in place. - the material of the tent itself is really nice quality. it muffles noises which also adds to better sleep for our baby. it’s soft, stretchy, breathable but also keeps a little bit of heat in for baby to be cozy, which our baby loves. - super light and easy portability. i also purchased the hiccapop mattress pad for our pack play, and the tent and poles (when disassembled) fit in the mattress bag, with the mattress I swear this is not promoted im just a first time mom with a really satisfying product experience. The design of the tent was really well thought out. Like literally the only “cons” i could think of is the opening of the tent is a little awkward to get used to if you have to transfer a sleeping baby (i do everytime lol) and it has a little “new” smell the first time i used it, not a bad smell but just the fresh out of the box scent. Our baby isn’t sensitive to smells thankfully but i could see maybe another baby being sensitive to that. Highly recommend for travel if you have a baby that needs black out for sleep.

Wish I had known about this with my first three kiddos! Easy to set up and complete black out. Had one of the poles snap when setting up and Hiccapop replaced it for me quickly and easily thanks to their lifetime warranty. SO grateful for all the good sleep our little gets while traveling!
