Non-toxic spray that works well with smaller beasties and makes a good deterrent
I hate spiders, but I have asthma and a dog, so I am unable to use most "killer" sprays as they leave me unable to breathe and are dangerous for my dog. Therefore, I was very happy to order this spray to try out.The spray has a good aim and a good amount of power behind it, so this makes it easier to hit a moving target and to make contact with the bug. The spray has an aroma that's hard to describe, but it's not as awful as the chemical-filled sprays and doesn't stink out the room you've sprayed it in. It also didn't trigger a coughing fit, which was fantastic.I found that the spray works well to kill fly's, moths, and small spiders, but it struggles to kill the bigger spiders. I found it works more effectively as a deterrent, as since spraying doors and windows, there has been a vast reduction in spiders and other beasties.I do love that I can spray this on furniture, bedding, floors, window panes, etc. without leaving excess residue or staining. I also love that it is safe, non-toxic, plant-based, and eco-friendly.Although it seems expensive at the cost of £9.99, you are getting a versatile spray that can kill a multitude of smaller bugs, spiders, and flies, as well as being non-toxic, safe around pets, kids, and adults, and also acts as a deterrent.

Working well and pleasant smell of pear drops
The spray seems to be working well, I have used it over the past couple of weeks, mainly indoors on woodlice, which invade our home all winter. We live in a very rural area so plenty of critters lurk outside trying to get in. The spray smells of a bit like pear drops, so not unpleasant at all. I also have loads of fire ants inhabiting the ground in the garden, which it will also be used on when gardening in those areas when the better weather comes. I also have an outdoor pond, but the package wording does not say whether it is aquatic safe, so I will have to avoid the pond area just in case. I think a bit over-priced at £10 for 500ml, but as it is pet and child friendly and quoted as a ‘natural-origin polymer’ (whatever that is) it sounds like it isn’t full of dodgy nature-damaging chemicals. Good so far.

Works Really Well
This insect spray is the best I have tried. We have an issue in our house with small insects in our house over the past 2 months. We thought we had got rid of them, but we really don't know where they are coming from. But using this spray we have virtually got rid of them now, I hope. Next step would be to get in a pest controller, but hopefully that won't be necessary. They only appear when there is no lights, so I have been using a red light torch to see them and then spray them with the spray as they don't scarper the same. There is larvae, pupa and full grown bugs.Regardless at what stage they are at, they die.Not seen any for the past 2 nights, so hoping they are all dead and the solution has been found. At £9.99 it was a little expensive, but worth it. It's now up to £11.99 and I think it's too much to be honest.

Wasted my time - cannot be sprayed onto plants
I've reviewed the text here several times before and after buying. It turned up and I read the bottle instructions. "Do not spray onto pets, humans or plants."So this non-toxic, plant based product...can't be used on plants. So now I have to go through the hassle of reboxing and returning it. Waste of time and all I would have taken would be for them to specifically state its not suitable for use on plants.

Effective and not unpleasant
This seems to work well on smaller bugs and flies, such as fungus gnats, aphids and thrips but it did take 2 treatments on successive days to clear everything - I don't mind that as I'd prefer to re-treat rather than be killing absolutely everything. The scent is way better than most insect sprays I've used, and it's true to say it doesn't leave residue on surfaces, and although it doesn't appear to be universally deadly, I suspect you'd need something much more unpleasant to kill everything in your path. The bottle is well filled and the spray is powerful but not crazy and it's not weak and weedy like some cheaper sprays. As both I and others have said the scent is nice - orangy and not too strong, with no "petrochemical" smell. Not cheap, but you do seem to get a good and not too unpleasant product in a good spray and a good amount for the price.

Fantastic stuff that does the job.
I've used a few plant based insect killers in the last few years and none have been any good, until this one. I saw Ready Steady Defend Insect Killer Spray and having read the item description I thought I'd try it out. I've got quite a lot of big spiders in the corners of ceilings in my kitchen, stairs, bathroom and living room, I really hate spiders, they're not daft getting high up in corners, because lower down they're so easy to flatten. I don't like using aerosol spider killer sprays in my kitchen, so this one being plant based and in a spray bottle is perfect. Well, as soon as I opened the package I was off on a spider hunt to see if this one did what it said. I found the first spider half way up the stairs wall, I sprayed it twice and no more spider, it's more or less instant, I ended up getting rid of 9 spiders and a passing moth that landed on my door. I'm so very impressed with everything about this insect spray, the speed it kills them, there's very little smell off the spray, it left no stains on walls or my door, the spray mechanism and the bottle are strong, spiders and moths are my biggest nightmare and to find a spray that will kill both and has killed both is just brilliant. I will be buying more of this, it does it's job at lightening speed, so glad I came across it.

Doesn’t kill spiders
I nearly drown a big bastard spider with this and it still ran. I killed it with a broom.
