This is my 1st security system / 1st time installing one
So far, there is nothing I dislike about this system. It is literally plug and play. It comes with a lot of cable and a lot of viewing options. HDMI, VGA, internet app (but the system is not dependent on the internet to work like a lot of systems I looked at are) you only need the internet if you want to download the app in your phone and watch what the system see's remotely, and that works really easy. I was surprised at how easy this was to set up. The directions are pretty straight forward as far as set up and installation go. We have a 2,000 square foot facility with about 6-8 parking spots. Between the 4 camera's we are able to cover everything we need to see, the entire parking lot, entrance and exits, the office, the wood shop, assembly and shipping departments (3 of the departments share one large open floor space). The instructions are easy but stop at the point of getting into some of the detail that this system is capable of like specifying a single camera and telling it to zoom and record, it will do all of that, it will take screen shots, it will record according to time spaces set or motion detection and even body temperature, just 1 or all 3. If you are getting this to use indoors, you will have pretty much everything you need except some cable clamps - search "Antrader R-type Cable Clamp 1/4 Inch White Nylon Cable Organizer Clips for Wire Management Pack of 200" you will want those if you are installing this in an already existing structure. If you are using a couple of the cameras outdoors like we are, you will want those cable clamps and some 3/4" diameter heat shrink tubing to heat shrink and seal the cable connections from the video and power cable coming out of the camera and linking up to the main cable. I did this with ours because we get some pretty harsh winter weather here so I figured just seal it up now and be done with it.I will post some pictures once Amazon approves this review and lets me add pictures to it. The 4 cameras provide crystal clear 1080P color video during the day / in the light, at night the infrared works great, all of which is adjustable. The manuals dont get too deep into all that so you have to play with it a little bit but it seems pretty dummy proof. One other thing I would recommend is a wireless mouse, it comes with a mouse to operate the software in the DVR, which comes installed and ready to go but the cable on the mouse is kind of short. So far, that is the only complaint which isn't really a complaint. Once you get it set up, get your motion detection set and your recorded time frames set, you can just let it go and do its job. With the AVSS app and PC download from their website (which is free) you can view your whole system from anywhere with your phone, or on your mac or PC desk top at home, in color!! I did a lot of research before I got this system and would get this same exact system again if I had to do it all over again.I read all the reviews for this system, good and bad and noticed that all the complaint reviews were from last year ago or older, it seems as though all of the bugs have been worked out (or I got lucky and got a nice working system) but IF YOU READ AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS and it goes in like my system did, you'll be happy, especially for the price.

Inexpensive system, works as advertised, great tech support
Used this for our single story subdivision home. Wireless, solar powered, pretty easy to install. Had trouble with each of the 3 cameras going into hibernation and refusing to 'wake up', unless battery was removed and reinstalled. Louis from Zosi was VERY responsive and eventually replaced all 3 of the cameras. Camera image is exceptional. Zosi provides all the materials for installation, but I supplemented their solar mounting with a 'gutter' mount from Amazon. Solar panels need to face south and our gutters made that difficult, hence the gutter mounts. Zosi furnishes an EXTRA battery...shows they want system to work! Keep up the good work Louis!

Good unit for the price
Bought this to replace an older model that failed after years of use. Cameras work with old ones so we have expanded to more cameras available.Good night vision and very good daytime quality. Not top of the line but very good.

Good picture quality, and easy to install.
These cameras were much easier to install than i thought they would be, there is a bit of frustration involved with getting the cameras facing where you want, mostly because it involved loosening the screws on the base and rotating the camera pieces individually... I can NOT STRESS ENOUGH... do not FULLY LOOSEN the screws because they are VERY FRUSTRATING to get to go back in, just a turn or 2 will be good enough to pick up the locking cogs and turn them the direction you want. They have to be wired in, so if you plan to put the DVR a fair distance from where you place your camera, it would be smart to buy the longer BNC/Power cable cords along with the cameras. So far i've not had a problem with the 60ft length I have used because I have a rather small house. To install you simply:1) Drill a hole where you can place the cords through the wall (if applicable). If you are running these all indoors, this does not apply as you can just run the cords along the ceiling and do not need to go through a wall.2) Push the wires through and route them along the ceiling.. attic.. wherever you want them till you get to your DVR. (There will be a red power cable, and a blue BNC cable for each camera)3) Part of the kit will be 2 power blocks/cords and an ethernet cord. 1 of the power cords is for the DVR. and 1 of them will be used to put power on the cable splitter included that will be used for your cameras to plug into and receive power (this will be the red ended cables) . In other words.. where you put your DVR, make sure there are 2 power outlet spots available, and you are able to plug into an ethernet port (or you can buy a USB wifi adapter if you do not wish to run ethernet through the house. This is because this specific unit DOES NOT COME WITH BUILT IN WIFI.)4) Once you have run the cords for the cameras to the spot where your DVR is, plug the BNC (blue ended cable) into the slots on the back of the DVR (labeled 1-8), for whatever camera you want to show up as whatever number on the DVR display once you get the DVR up and running.5) The next part will be easy, this is just setting up your DVR. The basics are to have a monitor of some sort (able to use HDMI as the back of the DVR has an HDMI slot), and a mouse (the kit comes with a mouse). Once you get the monitor up, there will be an initial setup screen and will ask you for a login.. the username is "admin" and the password is blank.6) To set up and test your internet connection, you will click "settings" and on the right will be "network"there will be a box to select "get IP address automatically", be sure to select that.at the bottom you will see the option to hit "apply" and "test". Once you hit "test" a quick message will display at the bottom saying "ok" which means.. your connection is good, or will just say "unable to establish connection" which will most likely take a little troubleshooting.7) Wifi option.. since this unit does not have BUILT-IN wifi.. you will need to buy a USB WIFI adapter in order to use this function. You will go through the same steps by clicking "Settings" and "Network" but on the tabs, you just select Wifi and search for your network.I struggled through this a bit at first so I figured I would give a bit of a breakdown review so others dont run into the problem of not being prepared.
