Great quality
This is wonderful addition to a play area. The colors are great and its made of non toxic wood material. It is a little heavy so careful if you have toddlers that at a stage of tossing things around. Fun for learning to count and colors.

More than a toy!
A nice set containing some sticks, sticky notes and a colorful abacus.Pictures contain my 3 year old boy's hands -- so that you can get a feeling about its size. There are so many reasons that I like it, just to name a few:1.the beads are very colorful so it easily attract kids' attention.2. It is so useful and easy for the kids (esp beginners) to understand how it works. Now he can count to 10!3. the materials is good-- solid wood and no paint smell.4. It is made in high quality and really sturdy. The kids can choose to put the sticky numbers, letters on the side to decorate it too. After doing so many reviews on the amazon with so many products, here is what I feel:everything starts with the design! if the design is good, combined with good materials, it will become a nice product well received by the customers.

Solid wooden toy for the growing mind.
I like that the individual balls are each 1 cm, so all 10 add up to the 10 cm mark on the ruler above the balls. It comes with a bunch of punch out plastic numbers and 100 little sticks - which seem useless and I'm not sure why they're there, but overall a well constructed solid wood toy.

sturdy
Great wooden abacus. There are no sharp edges or unfinished corners. The beads slid back and forth without an issue. I got it to help teach my 4yo math, as it gives him visual cues. There is a ruler on the top that shows measurements in metric. For us in the US, would probably be more helpful if it was in inches or just not present. Metric is fine, but it was confusing for my son as the cm align perfectly with each bead, he though the numbers were just counting the beads up.On the side it just has the alphabet drawn in small bubbles, honestly not needed or helpful as it just distracts from the main point. It would have been better if it just had the beads units instead so the kids can understand which ones are singles, tenth's, hundreds and so forth. It brings small card cutouts numbered from 1 to 100, math symbols, and several very thin counting sticks. No instructions, which for us adults is not needed, but it would have been nice to have something to actually help guide the kids through learning to use this Abacus. In the end, I still gave it 5 stars as it is sturdy and I can use it easily for my main purpose of teaching him math.

Needs instructions
The abacus is a work in progress. It came with little short sticks, but I’m not sure what they’re used for. They may be for place value (?). There are also punch out numbers to 100 and math signs are included. My granddaughters seem interested in learning more about it. As an elementary school teacher, I’m familiar with teaching using an abacus, but no instructions were included for the little pieces that came with it. I’m going to try to figure it out.
