This is Generic Frontline and You Need a Mosquito repellent for the dog.
First---the price of Frontline-the original Fipronil-is obscene, especially in a multi-cat household. Second, there's something wrong with Frontline's formulation. Vets and friends agree that Frontline no longer works, but the generic Fiprogard does. Frontline is produced in France by Merial. After two years of fighting fleas with cat baths, bombing, and Frontline applications, we disovered the generic works. Try Fiproguard if Frontline has failed you.WHAT TO DO ABOUT A FLEA INFESTATION: The house should be HOT because fleas will go dormant in the cold. VACUUM the entire house, especially around the edges. The vibration of the vacuum with cause the flea eggs to hatch. Then treat the area with a spray product from your vet. Then vacuum again and again. Repeat. In the meantime, you need to bathe the cats before they are allowed into the vacummed areas. I will never attempt this again--bathing FIVE cats? oh my gosh, what a horror.Regarding DOGS--dont' use Frontline or the generic. You need a product, like K9 Advantix II to prevent and treat ticks, fleas, mosquitoes, biting flies and lice. [toxic to cats] West Nile Disease has killed a horse in Connecticut, so please keep bugs AWAY from your dog since there's no vaccination.

Great product, very effective, great value
I love this product. I had been using a much more expensive flea medicine on my two cats for years and wanted to see if there was something less expensive available that would work as well. After a couple of trials and errors, I bought the Sentry Fiproguard. Not only was it a fraction of the price of what I had been using, but my cats tolerate this product much better. They used to run away when I opened the applicator of the original product and then felt sluggish and unwell for about 24 hours after application. The Fiproguard doesn't get a negative reaction from them, and there is no negative physical effects at all. And most of all.....I have been using it for a year or so now, once a month, and there has been no sign of fleas or ticks at all, even though I live in Florida where fleas are a problem year round. My cats don't go outdoors, but they spend a lot of time in the screened pool area and have gotten fleas there in the past, which is why I treat them each month. I am so happy that I found a product that not only works well but is quite affordable.

Good value for the price
I decided to try this brand of cat flea medicine because the prices of fleas meds had really gone up and this one was one of the cheapest I found. I've used this on my cat for the past two months and it seems to work fairly well. I have noticed that my cat scratches more as the medicine starts to weaken going into the fourth week, but it's not bad. As far as over the counter flea meds go, this is a good product that I will continue to use.

DON’T risk it!!
I read the reviews, i followed the directions and I almost lost my perfectly healthy 2yr old ragdoll!! He vomited for days, became lethargic and acted confused, stopped eating and lost enough weight that he went from hefty to skin and bones. I’m trying to save some money I’ve now spent $300+ in vet bills. Thank god his condition is improving, but he’s still barely eating and the follow-up vet visits will cost even more. I will never try to cut corners again when it comes to my fur baby! Btw: it didn’t even kill the fleas!!! A little over a week later and it didn’t even work much!!!

This really worked when the other one stopped
I remember the days when frontline worked unbelievably well. Well when that stopped working I tried this because I had tried all of the expensive brand names and nothing was working to kill the fleas.I have two (strictly indoor) Persian cats. However, we have neighbors that (obviously) do NOT take care of their dogs properly and ended up with an infestation of fleas and possibly lice (or very elongated fleas?).My cats were infested!! I can only assume we brought them in the house on our clothes and shoes every time we walked from the outside in.Anyways, I figured this was cheap enough to give it a go and if it didn’t work, I wouldn’t be out another 45 bucks.Well SURPRISE SURPRISE! IT WORKED!It killed every single flea and egg as well as the lice (or whatever the heck those things were). I’m not exaggerating here… it killed EVERYTHING within a few days. This stuff is amazing for the price and I would highly recommend it when everything else is failing for your (indoor) cats. Now, I can’t speak to whether or not it would work for outdoor cats … but it definitely was and is a 5 star in my book and will continue to be as long as the formula stays consistent and they don’t change it!Just buy it! Don’t think twice when all else fails and it seems like the fleas are immune to the expensive brand name vet formulas.

It works for about half the time it promises.
This worked well for two weeks, but my poor kitty was itching all over again way before he was due for his following monthly application. This is good if you're in a pinch or struggling to afford costlier brands, but I've found Advantage and Frontline to be worth the money in that they actually last for a month and my kitty doesn't require flea allergy shots to cope with a product that only works half the time it promised.
