There is no auto cut. Water comes outside. Measurement of water which is the controlling factor is difficult to judge. Over all it is a helpful product. Cleaning is not difficult. Ease of cooking is good.

Electric shocks
I recently purchased this egg boiler, and I regret it. After each use, a significant amount of water is left over in the device, which is frustrating and messy. But the worst part is that when I used it the next time, I got an electric shock when I turned it on. This is a serious safety hazard and completely unacceptable for any kitchen appliance. I highly recommend avoiding this product at all costs until these issues are addressed. It's not worth the risk.
