Bigger than the regular fenders
This is on my son's plus size bike. It gives more protection than those stubby standard fenders. It does make securing the bike in tray mount bike racks a bit difficult because the front of the fender is where the arm needs to hold down the front tire to keep the bike in the rack. It seems to work best to slip the arm just under the front of the fender and achieve appropriate security on the rack. If I were to get one for my bike I would get the standard size version for that reason.

Doesn't fit well with wide tires on a Fox 36 fork
Clever design, but it doesn't manage to tightly fit around the structure of the FOX 36 when running 2.8 or 3.0 tires. It bows out and presents edges from the overlapping sections that will brush against the tire tread. Even after some trimming of these edges the tire would barely clear when spinning on the stand, and I'd still get rubbing while riding. The fender will likely work quite well on most applications, but on this one it was a bust and I had to find an alternative. Will keep it around for use on other bikes that run narrower tires.

Simple fix for a muddy problem
Simple and easy to install on my MTB. Will help keep the mud off my face and frame. Already have their back tire fender installed. Like how simple and inexpensive they are. Minimalist perfection.

Too flimsy
Too thin to be any good. Folds under easily and has deep cuts in it to shape it.

Works great, very compact and cuts down on mud in the face significantly. Got one for the back as well (modified to keep mud out of motor area of my pedal electric mountain bike.

Poor 1st Impression, redeemed itself though
Was looking for a decent set of full mud guards to protect me on the trails as the winter weather arrived. Wanted substance over style as keeping dry and clean was the main objective, but wouldnt mind if they looked ok too. Opted for this (plus the gut fender) as they looked liked they ticked all the boxes. I did see the reviews advising these came flat packed, so wasnt sure what to expect. Even with the warning, my first impression wasnt great. They literally arrive as a sheet of thin plastic with some printed decals on and I thought i'd been conned. Decided to hold judgement until fully tested though and luckily things improved from here. Once bent into shape along the marked lines, they start to resemble more the product i was expecting, albeit a bit flimsy and awkward. Mounting of the Face Fender was a little tricky, first you need to cut the velcro strap into the small lengths needed to secure each point (Be careful, as i almost left myself short with this one, although cable ties or more velcro isnt too hard to find). Once you have the straps ready, you need to get the thing in place. I suspect, if you are smart and remove the front wheel first, this would be fairly straight forward. But i was too keen to confirm if there would be enough clearance from the wheel, to use my brain properly and begun trying with the wheel in place. Safe to say, this made it a bit fiddly! I got there though without help in the end and not too many swear words. As can be seen from the pics, clearance is OK after all but could be tight for some.As a mud guard its not too bad and it looks ok too. It could do with being a tiny bit longer in my view. Its fine on the trails for the most part, but if I hit a road caked in mud and start to put the pedal down, i do get a little spray off the front still. Its not that bad though, just could be better. This definitely keeps the bulk of it away! It looks good as a pair with the gut fender, but i opted not to go for the rear as it looked a bit pathetic (went for the MudHugger instead which is a beast and reviewed separately). Despite my concerns initially, and having had time to reflect, whilst they seem a bit cheap when they arrive and are definitely over priced for what they are. They are actually pretty effective and ridiculously light. Do they actually need to be anymore than what they are? Possibly not. In the end, i would probably recommend these.

Good at stopping splashes but may need trimming to stop rubbing on tyre.
I bought this after trying the much smaller MuckyNutz Face Fender which was too short to be effective at stopping spray from puddles. This one is much better for that, but it doesn't fit as well on my basic Rock Shox forks because the two layers of plastic betwen the fork and tyre reduce the tyre clearance to the point that without modification it rubs on the tyre. I'm going to trim the mounting flanges and add more straps if necessary to stop it rubbing, but I've marked it down because it shouldn't be necessary. Everything else about it is as good as the short Face Fender - the Velcro straps are good and there's plenty supplied, the material is tough and unlikely to break (and weighs next to nothing), and it's not stupidly expensive.

Not too mucky face
I've had this fitted for a couple of weeks so far and I use it around 2 to 3 times per week about an hour in total per day. It's mostly a commute ride but there are a few muddy off road bits. The whole commute is on your usually rubbish British roads with the usually pot holes, loose rubble and salt slush.I fitted it myself and I'm sure someone with a bit of spacial awareness and general handyness will fit this easily. I on the other hand have neither of theelse traits but managed to get it on without too much fuss with the supplied velcro. I was a little sceptical it would stay in place but so far so good. I haven't got a huge amount of clearance between my suspension fork and the wheel and I'm not riding huge wheels but there isn't alot of clearance so that's something to be aware of it's not rubbing on the tyres though. It's not 100% protection with a bit of splash up my jacket front but so far not the face. I suspect on a rougher ride with bigger puddles there might be more splash up.
