Q: Does this mirror carry the half chrome and the other half i can paint to the color of my vehicle

Yes 1half is chromed from factory and the other half comes black, but that half will come off and you can use your original with the color matching

Q: Does this part with the chrome finish? Like in the photo, it doesnt mention anything about that in the description.

I ordered this for my 2013 and it has the chrome finish. Great mirror very cost efficient from the others I was looking at.

Q: Is it painted gloss black so it will match my black body paint or is it matte black and ready for paint of any color?

This mirror has a glossy finish, but the surface is not a painted finish. It is ready for prime and paint to match the color of your vehicle.

Q: Does anyone know if these have the updated gears that won't break again?

I doubt it but I feel your pain both of mine were stripped out within a month
