was in the market for a roof rack and saw this come up. It can carry up to 220 pounds but I didn't have anything 220 lbs so I could not test that. if you wish to test that yourself feel free I mean you can always return it if anything

These crossbars do not fit the 2021 Mazda CX-5. They are too big.

Was going on a long trip and needed the extra space on top of the car to pack a roof carrier. My last car had the racks but for some reason my 2018 Mazda Cx-5 did not come with them. Talked to the dealer who wanted to charge close to $1,000 to put on the rack and cross bar. Searched the web and this seemed like the best buy for the combined items, which was an advantage to not have to mix and match purchases. There were no reviews yet but I was willing to try or the price and convenience of receiving quickly from Amazon. We were not disappointed. These are high quality pieces that were easy to put on the car. A few things. There were limited, poorly written directions so we went online and found a youtube video to help. The screws are very small and we did not have a magnetized electric screwdriver, so there was some frustration with trying to get the screws in right. If you have the right tools, this woule be a very quick install. As it was, it only took us about an hour to install -- quick, easy, and works perfectly. Highly recommend.

The instructions are OK, but a search of YouTube found a couple of good explanations. I installed the rails with little problem, but starting the screws is very tedious. It's easier if you place the screws with needle nose pliers or tweezers, then thread them in with the supplied torx driver.Unfortunately, my package arrived without the necessary screws and rubber gaskets needed to install the crossbars, but the supplier was very responsive and the missing parts were delivered from China in 2 days.Again the screws on the crossbar are a little tedious to install. Make sure you assemble the crossbars and position them first before tightening and screws.I have one minor complaint: I wish the screw heads had been painted. My rails and crossbars are black and the silver screw heads are noticeable.

I'll be hauling a rowing single scull. It's plenty sturdy for this. They are quiet at road speeds up to 80 mph. The markings for correct positioning of the risers were a little confusing. RR's for each right, RL's for left. Otherwise well finished and good looking. Like most, Mazda doesn't allow adjustment to make them farther apart front to back. Very strong risers.
