The massager looks like good value at $20, it has plenty of feature, however I feel that it's designed for thinner necks, perhaps for ladies or children. I'm a 5'9" male and I feel it pinches too night around my neck. To make it it somewhat work, I need to keep it very loose behind my neck to prevent it from hurting too much. I do like that it has heat feature which feel nice. But just wish that the width of the massager was adjustable to possibly make it wider. Other than this, I do know if holding it in place by strap is a good design. I would prefer for it to be attached some other way so that my hands can be free when i use it.

This is very, very strong and it will depend on your personal needs and preferences so I won't dock it for that, however it was too strong for my mom, 77, with terrible arthritis, and muscle pain. It was too strong for her and she could only handle it for a few minutes around her neck/shoulder/upper back. She says that it made her more sore than before but so does the chiropractor, so can't really say how it would work for someone else. So I will rate this a 5 for being as advertised, however, I'm docking a star because the location of the controls make it hard to manipulate especially since you can't really see it. It would be a better option to somehow put the controls more accessible to the user, possibly even with a remote. And maybe add an option for a gentle massage along with the intense deep massage.
