Q: what's the play area of the 40"x80"topper?

I have the 48"x80" topper. There is a 5" cushioned border with effectivly makes the play area 38"x70". Not sure if all tables borders are 5"... Hope that helps!

Q: When the topper is folded can a board game or puzzle fit inside where it wont get ruined so we can open and continue for later?

The topper folds so the felt is on the outside not in the inside. So it will not keep a game or puzzle in place when folded.

Q: I want the 40x60 version, but my table is 42x42. So the ends would hang off the table by 9 inches on both ends. Is that too far to be stable?

9" inches over the edge is getting close to pushing the limit. If someone is leaning on the edge that is not supported, i would worry but it could still work for you. We usually recommend about 5" or 6" of overhang. The weight of the topper and the antislip backing strips should help with the stability.

Q: How many people can fit around 55”x70” table top?

I can fit 6 people arround my topper.
