FunkoPOP! Movies: Ready Player One - Art3mis Collectible Figure

I'm going to preface this review with the fact that I have read the book (it was terrible please don't read it) and seen the movie (marginally better than the book, really liked it until the midpoint) and the only two good characters were Art3mis and Aech.If you would like to customize your funko, I recommend you boil water in the microwave for 4 minutes and hold the funko in the water until you can pull the head off. Then once it's cooled, paint the entire head the base color for even layers. The body doesn't need to be entirely repainted. However, when you do repaint the body, do NOT do touch ups, paint the entire thing in even strokes to avoid making it look blotchy.Now, I loved Art3mis design in the movie she was super cool and I had to customize this funko. Surprisingly, there aren't that many pictures from the movie online yet so my references were few. However, the main thing that bothered me with this figure is that she didn't have a human skintone, she was totally pink. The base layer I used was Cameo Pink, then some various reds and pinks to blend with.Her hair was a bit tricky but I figured out a way to make it work. You'll want; Black, Holiday Red and a Dark grey. Do not mix the colors together. Instead first put down grey, while it is still wet, blend in the red. While it's still wet, blend in the black. It's good to do this in small pieces of hair at a time instead of the entire head. Once it's dried take a dry brush and swipe red onto your mostly black hair and touch up with the same kind of brush with black. Do this a bunch of times until you're happy with it. It's hard to tell in the pictures since it's such a dark color, but it'll look better in person.The red part of her hair is a layering of several dark reds and light pinks.The blending of pink/red on the side of her face and arms is funny to do with acrylic paint, but it's doable. You'll want multiple colors out and only one brush. If you don't paint normally and lick the brush, you'll want a bowl of water. Start at the top with the darkest color, then while it's still wet take your second color and paint the next bit and blend the two together. Pull the color as far down as you can and mix with your brightest color. It doesn't have to be perfect. You'll see on one of her arms I blended fairly well, but on the other you can see a clear line were I stopped. I also didn't bother to paint the lines on her skin except on the side of her face where you can see it.Finally, it's obvious I don't own an airbrush for her eye shadow. Just repeat the thing I said about the hair colors but blend together so it's a weird grey color. Use black sparingly here as it'll become too dark. Her eyes are yellow in the movie, use a dark yellow and mix with light color and a small dab of grey. Her eyebrows are a curse to me as the correct color, Light brow, shows up on the eye shadow, but not the skin color. And Dark brow shows up on the skin color but not in the eye shadow. When I was done and sat back I realized Art3mis kinda looks like a pink Mystic from X-Men.I reccomend this Funko, it's fun to repaint and stands with a stand it came with.

My friend is a doctor who grew up in the 80s and 90s. He loved Ready Player One and so when I was looking for a gift for him Art3mis was on the top of the list. He was super excited to get it and says that the detail in this little funko is good and he is really happy with how it looks.

Received the Art3mis Funko Pop without any issues and in great condition.

pop was cute but if u collect i guess will not order pops here cuz box came all messed up

Funko is great but for some reason she is the only one out of 50+ that cant stand up straight like she got drunk over time.... yes I took them out of the boxes kept the boxes though

After seeing the film, I just had to get the POP, so here she is, and she’s great. Excellent detail, and a great addition to my collection :)The item was well packaged, and delivery was sooner than expected.

Liked the film, and this Pop just looks great. Had to have this in my collection even if the others are a pass for me
