Died after 2 weeks, but did nothing in the first place.
So, I bought this, because this year there has been an enormous amount of ticks lurking about, even for the area where we live, which is heavily wooded. I would use citronella spray on my dog, and a flea/tick collar (not to mention the tablets, but those only work if the tick would actually bite her), but would still find a tick crawling on her here and there. Devastated, I researched what else I could do to deter the ticks to try and make a lunch out of my dog, and I came across this product. The reviews were mixed, so I went to find some more information elsewhere. I found a fair amount of articles and reviews that were raving about this little device, so I decided to buy it. What a waste of money.First of all, the very first day I attached this thing on my dog's collar, I saw a tick crawling on her. So, despite the fact that I was using several things to protect her, the ticks seemed to have taken a page from Clark Gable's book, and frankly didn't give a damn.On the next few subsequent walks, I would regularly have to take ticks off her, even near the device itself. It was like it wasn't even doing anything, but at least now I could say I tried just about every trick in the book. This, however, would still not make me write a bad review, as I hate doing that, and don't, if I can find at least one good thing to say about a product. I mean, it seemed to have worked for other people, so I reasoned that maybe we just have some sort of strange mutant ticks, that huff repellent like glue, and just don't care what you throw at them. What made me write this review, is that after 2 weeks the device simply stopped working. Well, it's not like it did much in the first place, you might say, but I would expect that it would at least last 6 months before it goes. If you're selling me snake oil, at least sell me a full bottle. Not to mention, that I read the instructions on the box, and made sure to use it properly, and to take it off her collar whenever we came back from a walk, and (even though it says that it can take humidity just fine, but is not water-proof) would not let her near any sort of water while wearing it.In short, this product is not worth the money. Not by a long shot. It's also not exactly cheap either, so you'd probably be better off spending it on a nice toy or treat for your poochie, than waste it on this. I sure wish I did.

ZECPET Works and Works well.
My Bichon scratches non stop. One flea will drive her insane and she damages herself causing inflammed skin, and the constant licking makes it worse to the extent that she needs antibiotics and steroids. Vet said that is not a good thing to keep using those. Used several well known flea prep. Advantage, Frontline, Advocat etc. To be effective this nerve agent/poison has to get in the bloodstream for the flea to bite and feed and thus die. So the flea has to get on her to die. Its the bite that causes the inflammation. So in desperation I researched and read and researched. I purchased the ZecPet 9th September. She has worn it for four weeks no further biting and scratching and the old injuries that she caused herself are healing at last. The good thing with the Ultrasonic flea tag is that it does not allow fleas to get on the dog in the first place. It does NOT kill fleas - the ultra sonic acts as a barrier and the fleas do not get on her anymore. I am a cynical long time dog owner and woprk with dogs. Whoopppeeedo.

... our cocker spaniel jumps in the water but can easily replace it back on
Safe and chemical free - I have added a small clip so that we can take it off before our cocker spaniel jumps in the water but can easily replace it back on . good product

Not convinced
I bought this product after my dog had a rather persistent problem with fleas, ( no ticks ). She was bathed clipped and treated with a liquid treatment. I also the bought this as an added protection to prevent them returning or getting rid of any that remained, also to avoid using chemical treatments repeatedly.Sadly the fleas returned so the whole process had to be repeated, hence I am not convinced this device made any difference. Disappointed as it was expensive and I used it alongside other things.Wouldn’t buy again.

Amazing product
I bought this for my 1 year old Jack Russell and though I was sceptical, it does work. My dog loves chasing hare and deer through tall bracken and has yet to have 1 tick attach. Well worth the money.

Realised faulty
Didn't realise but this must have been faulty as the green light stayed on all the time, hence the battery ran out. Luckily had another one which I have put straight on,Due to it only lasting two months, not very happy as they are not cheap to buy. Cost effective when they last full term like the previous one I used. Not alot I can do now.

Disappointing
Really wanted to love this and had high hopes for it but it just doesn’t work. My dog has been wearing one for about 8 weeks and at first it seemed great. I found only one or two ticks on her in the space of about a month. However, now it’s the height of summer I’m finding multiple imbedded ticks pretty much every day. This is extra annoying because she has a thick coat so they are hard to find. It’s also impossible to know if the thing is still functioning properly. The light still comes on but who knows if it’s doing anything else. Might be suitable if you live in a place with hardly any ticks but doesn’t cut it in the Scottish Highlands.
