IQ Shield Matte Screen Protector Compatible with Nintendo Switch (Console)(Updated Design) Anti-Glare Anti-Bubble Film

I use IQ Shield products for all my devices since I prefer the matte style to cut down glare/finger prints and the "wet" application style tends to be more consistent. Application was simple and any questions I had were answered by watching their application video they made specifically for the Switch. Even if I messed up, their lifetime warranty extend to the application process which means they'll send you another at no cost even for user error. It covers the entire screen except for maybe a half millimeter of wiggle room on each sides. The speakers and light sensors have appropriate cut outs.The film-style protector adds a negligible amount of bulk leaving plenty of room for the Switch while docked. After a full day playing while docked, the protector is still in place and doesn't show signs of peeling back. This is good since some of the cheaper protectors had reports of coming loose during long docked sessions.I've rated 4 stars because the one drawback for this protector is the effect is is having on the screen sharpness. Matte-style protectors do result in a very slight sharpness degradation due to the nature of a matte protector, but usually never enough to cause problems. On the Switch however, this effect is quite noticeable on text resulting in a slightly blurred lettering. This isn't noticeable during gameplay, but becomes apparent when reading small bits of text or numbers similar to a 480p videos on YouTube. Unfortunately,I don't think anything can be done about this and simply comes down to the fact that the Switch, in handheld mod,e has a screen resolution of 720p. My guess is that since this isn't a problem on other tablets and phones since their resolutions are much higher and perhaps overpowers this problem.In all, everything about the protector and the application is wonderful. You'd just need to decide if the benefits of anti-glare, fingerprint resistance, and self-healing outweigh the slight drop in screen sharpness.

Love IQ Shield! The wet application process is a must for those of us who are both fussy and bad at applying adhesive screen protectors. I use IQ Shield on every device that needs one! Consistently, the screen protector goes on Day 1, and I don't recall any of my devices having outlived the effectiveness of the screen protector.One thing to bear in mind is that all matte screen protectors will make the picture a little fuzzy. That's something that you as a consumer need to prioritize. I play Switch with my back to a window most often, so the anti-glare is a priority for me. If you'd rather have perfect resolution, go for the non-matte version, which I also recommend! I used it on my last Switch, which did die before the IQ Shield (non-matte) screen protector did, so that's a testament to the quality!

Ordered one of these, tried to follow their video for installation but wound up with a bunch of bubbles in it that wouldn't go away. Sent them a message and they sent me another kit with me only paying S&H. Tried the video again, reducing the amount of solution used and now there are no bubbles. I would recommend for anyone wanting to buy one of these products to shake off the screen each time the solution is applied instead of checking to ensure it is not dripping wet. I did lose screen sharpness and the screen and the anti-glare is limited in what it can do. When playing games with dark stages, I still can't see anything when out in direct sunlight, even if I have my Nintendo Switch facing away from the sun and when tilted at any angle. However, there is a noticeable improvement in glare prevention and the loss of sharpness has been negligible in my opinion. It seems like a quality product with good customer service.

This is my second IQ Shield purchase, I've been using one on my phone for almost two years now. They are phenomenal. The matte finish is so clean, makes it so easy to use your phone or Switch in bright light. The application process is also so nice, the spray is so clutch. These are the only screen protectors I've ever been able to put on my devices without any bubbles. High recommend!!!

All of my devices have IQ Shield matte screen protectors iPhones,iPad, MacBook airs Nintendo switch Fitbit versa 2 and Ionic watches. The reason I prefer this brand and type is the self-healing and matte finish blocks glare.

Matte finish distorts the image a bit. But otherwise a great protector

IQ Shield makes great stuff, and the matte surface on this means that you can still see your screen under various lighting conditions easily. I have their protectors on my smart watch, 4 S8 / S8+ cell phones and now 2 Switches. Would recommend.
