Snow Joe 7 Inch Impact Reducing Steel Ice Chopper with Shock Absorbing Handle

First it is light weight. I like that. Second, some people may not like this, bit I am short. It's size is comfortable for me at my 5 foot 2 in height.It is durable. I have had it since 2021 and it is still in great shape aside from where my dogs chewed the rubber of the handle.The blade is still in great shape with no putting and no rusting.I highly recommend

I was looking for a tool that would make scraping the floor of my chicken coop an easier chore. I was using my garden hoe and my back would ache for a couple of days after. Then I found this and what a time and back saver! This tool scrapes the floor without tearing it up and with little effort. I can even get under the nesting boxes and the roosting bars as the length of the pole is long enough without being cumbersome! It works great on snow too, but that was not the main purpose of my purchase. I highly recommend!

Great for removing ice off of steps

I wasn't expecting much when I paid $18 for this after major snow storms that belted the US, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the product..It's sturdy and hefty. Very useful when you have to punch through ice..The blade size is perfect. Any bigger and you'd struggle and it wouldn't be as effective at applying concentrated blows when cracking ice..The weight is there. This is not a light tool, but you want that weight when cracking ice. And the materials are heavy gauge steel for construction, so the weight is to be expected..The handle is covered generously with paint, so this should prevent rusting...The blade is tough and thick. I've used this to crack and slam ice against asphalt, concrete, and stone without noticing any deformation..I think this will last several years, if not longer. I can't see buying any other similar tool for less.

I needed this since last year when we endured a harsh winter where my car got stuck in the garage. This is highly rated and can’t wait to use it! The edge is not sharp at all but no problem because i have the equipment to give it the edge. Love the handle and its shock absorbent because of the spring that is built in the bar.

A friend of mine recommended this to me personally and I have to say, it’s been a Godsend when needed. Living in the east coast you never know what the weather will bring. I used this handy tool in an apartment complex that was responsible for their own shoveling and clearing of the drive and walk way. My car started skidding while pulling out of a parking spot. I pulled this out to break up the ice to allow my car to gain traction which was fast, quick and easy, and then back on the road I went. The quality of this is solid and sturdy. Folds up nicely and fit underneath the boards of my SUV.

This ice scraper is easy to use. The impact reducing feature mildly helps. The handle has chipped where it attaches to the main body. This hasn't affected usability though. This works well for ice scraping, but not so well for ice chopping.

Great item and love the spring load. It really reduces the impact felt. Just wished it was longer. Other than that, works great!

Used this to chop ice and snow. Did a great job. Heavy enough to effectively chop but light enough to use without breaking a sweat.I’m super pleased with this bad boy. I’d buy again.

Unlike the other scrappers, this model includes a shock absorption system. Great way to reduce the likelihood of nerve damages. I hope it lasts a long time.

Seems to work good. Only used it once, like the spring, not as hard on the arms and shoulders.

So far I've used it as an edging shovel for my garden and it has performed very well . It is really quiteSharp. I will update review after I use it for ice chopping.
