Modern Advancements in Long Range Shooting

Great read and reference. I have his works highlighted and bookmarked throughout because of the relevance and insight of these works. If you like to know the theory or just to shoot long range these are great resources.

I pretty much made at least 1 highlight per chapter as I found the bulk of the content to be insightful. I now understand why the 6.xx mm cartridges are so popular in PRS and why the Army is switching to SIG 277 Fury / 6.8x51 for its new XM7/XM250s. The discussion on BCs and the ballistic solver / custom drag models is worth the price of the book itself. Granted it sounds like Litz is trying to sell you on Applied Ballistics but there's a lot of sound theory into why the CDMs will give you a more accurate solution especially at the transonic speed range and beyond. He does sound like he's trying to sell you on Berger bullets but again he goes into detail on why they're so consistent.Overall if you can only afford or only want to buy 1 of his books, this would be the one. Vol 2 is less interesting as it caters to mainly those that handload and want to bust some myths (deburring flash holes, fill ratio, etc) or are deep into rimfire.

Extremely well written. Very knowledgeable and thorough. Comprehensive coverage of all the ins and outs of long distance shooting. Highly recommend it to any serious shooter, especially for shooters at Camp Perry or other target contests. Combat shooters will find it essential to their work.

This was a very readable book. I've ordered the next in the list of books by this author. The information is useful for anyone interested in learning more about the factors necessary for accuracy and precision in the shooting sports. The chapter on chronographs was particularly well done.

I learned so much that I'd only seen bits and pieces of before. Amazing depth if information that has been tested as true.

This is an Easy to read. Book. Information is broken down into understandable bites. Good information throughout. A must if your serious about LRS.

After reading Applied Long Range ballistics in a week and loving every second pf it, my daughter bought me this boo and while it refers back to much of what is in the first book (just a little bit of cheating) it is still offers much valuable information. I wish it was 100 unique but i suppose i your going to cover the same subject twice it isn't reasonable to expect it to be 100 unique. that being said, the information presented is rock solid and the book is well worth the money. I plan on getting the other volumes.

J'Ai acheté le format kindle et je suis plus ou moins satisfait. J'ai toute la suite de livre de Brian Litz, et je vais commander ce livre en format standard. Beaucoup d'information comme la stabilisation du boulet à courte distance.

An extremely interesting read if you are into the technology that underpins highly accurate rifle shooting.
