In case you were wondering, your car uses the cabin filter for both fresh outside air and for recirculated air. Modern cars will automatically introduce some fresh air every half hour or so to keep the oxygen level high and the carbon dioxide level low. But that means your filter is in use 100% of the time.I spend alot of time in my car where it's on and not necessarily moving, so mileage isn't a good indicator of how much use the cabin air filter has gotten. I try to replace them often, so I appreciate a good value on cabin filters (for a Hyundai 1.6L engine) like these.The dealer and shop may try to charge $40 or more dollars for each of these so at the current $17.99 price they're less than half price, so long as you're willing to pop your glovebox down yourself (no tools, it's easy).These filters are on the squishy side, which for the Santa Fe is important because about 1/3 of the filter area is blocked by part of the dashboard. You have to compress the filter down a bit, slide it in and let it stretch back out.I'd say the biggest obstacle for the DIY filter changer is if they have a bunch of junk in their glovebox they have to put it somewhere while they change the filter. If your glovebox is empty there's almost nothing to it. Find yourself a decent video for your model and have at it.

Solid well made filter that you can install in seconds. Price is fair and definitely will save you a lot of money from paying a mechanic to change it out.Highly recommend
