A Solid LED Video Lighting Kit with Some Room for ImprovementTo be honest, I was a bit let down when I unboxed these lights and found out they were made of plastic instead of metal like my other Pixel lights. It is nice quality plastic with a good finish. But, putting that aside, this kit is a great deal considering all the extra stuff they threw in. You get two lamps, power adapters, stands with bendy neck extenders, and a nifty storage bag.Here's what I liked:Pros:1. Flexible Lighting: You can adjust the color temperature from warm to cool and control the brightness from super dim to really bright, making these lights versatile for different photo needs.2. Power Options: You can power these lights either from a wall socket or with batteries, giving you options for different situations. I didn't check the battery prices because I'm using these indoors, where there's always an outlet nearby.Here's what has opportunities for improvement:Cons:1. Wobbly Tripod Base: The tripod base is a bit flimsy, so the lights can tip over, especially in windy conditions. But, since I'm using them indoors, it's not a big deal for me.2. Adjustment Knobs: The knobs for changing the intensity don't have fixed positions, but they haven't moved on their own for me. It's just a personal preference thing.3. The storage bag does not fit everything in it. The lights and power supplies will fit, but the rest do not. That could be improved by adding some outside Velcro straps or elastic loops to make it easier to carry everything together if need be.Despite a few quirks, I was pleasantly surprised by how well this kit performed. The light stands, while not top-notch, were better than I expected. The back dial for adjusting brightness and color temperature is handy, but it could use a clearer indicator for settings. The diffused lighting and nice skin tones make it a good addition for both beginners and as a backup for pros.In conclusion, the Pixel P30 LED Video Lighting Kit is a solid purchase, especially for the price. Some design tweaks and sturdier construction would make it a must-have for any photographer or videographer. I'm no pro, but it's a great addition to my toolkit. Thank you, Pixel. Keep up the good work and product development. The lights alone might only get a 4 star rating (not metal), but the whole bundle is certainly a 5 star rating and a good value.

Very useful tool, great to have for photo shoots, adds good lighting outcome and make better photo results. Good for either professional or non professional, easy to use and carry around.

The items were arranged with cardboard inserts to provide some crush protection and drop protection. As long as care is taken I don’t see that it should take any shipping damage.Material Quality:The lights are primarily plastic with LEDs. The Stands are metal with plastic parts. The carry bag is a fabric bag and the light covers are a nylon like material.Assembly/Build Quality:The stands are typical low tear photo/video equipment stands. They will be fine as long as they are not mishandled. Mishandling mostly consists of cranking too hard on the plastic knobs that are used to tighten the poles and keep them from moving or collapsing. The lights themselves feel flimsy but I have handled lots of these style of lights and this is just how they are. It is typical low tear photo/video lights. Again, as long as they are properly handled they should be fine. Don’t drop them or sit on them and they should be ok. .Marketing Material:The images posted with this listing (at the time of this review) represent the product well. There is no misrepresenting here and everything is as it looks in the picture. The only thing that is not completely clear from the images is the carry bag size. It only holds the lights. The stands and power plugs will not fit in the bag.Functionality:The lights are very bright which is good. They are also dimmable and go from a very soft light to a harsh bright. This gives you lots of use case for these lights. The lights use the included power plugs but can take an optional battery pack with is really nice. Only down side is they are not included, but this is clearly stated in the listing so it is what it is. Included with the stand are two flexible lengths of pole that can be mounted between the light and the stand for angling the lights in all sorts of directions.Price:This item is listed (at the time of this review) for $99. I think this price is a bit too high, but honestly, this is the industry’s fault. People are paying this so sellers are charging this. For this price I would have actually liked to see it include a bag that can fit all the pieces, not just the lights only.Likes:I like that the lights are bright and adjustable in light level. I also like that they are very portable.Dislikes:Given the fact that these lights are very portable, I really dislike the fact that you don’t get a bag that can fit the whole setup, not just the lights only.Overall:I would recommend this item if you are looking for a set of bright and versatile lights that are portable and compact. It is a shame that, given the price, a large enough bag to fit the whole kit is not included though. Still, the lights would make a good addition to the photographer/videographer on the go.

Recently, I was shooting a short video with a friend. Even though the sunlight looked good, the result captured at home was still very dark. This light has been a great help to us. The results we take now are very good, very bright, and the brightness of the light can also be adjusted.

The instructions don’t really tell you anything but it’s very bright!!! i recommend:)
