I loved these candy hearts. They the same as the ones from my childhood that I would get on Valentine's Day just larger. This item came with two individual 10 oz bags of larger candy hearts with Valentine's Day words and phrases written on them. The bags include the standard flavors of grape, cherry, banana, orange, lemon-lime, and wintergreen. My biggest criticism of these large candy hearts are actually their size. They are a bit tough to bite into and I worry that I'm going to crack a tooth unless I bite into them from the side and take it slow. Theses tiny little heartwarming hearts have been a part of my life ever since I can remember! They were a part of my every Valentine's Day growing up and continue to be a part of my kids' Valentine's Days. We always sit around the table and read the ones we pick out loud. It is so fun. The kids love to eat them and share them. These are fun little treats. Yes, they have that chalky taste to them but that chalky taste brings back so many memories. The kids don't seem to notice the chalky taste, they love them...I didn't either when I was a kid. As an adult, I notice the chalky taste but I still love them! They are sweet and tasty...there is no difference between colors that I noticed but they are good and they are still fun!

I have always enjoyed Brach's conversation hearts and these large ones taste like they always do. They are not too hard, which is good and speaks to their freshness and good packaging. I'm not crazy about the way they changed the type since it is even more difficult to read now than previously. It is very light and seems to appear randomly somewhere on the candy. But if you want the conversation hearts in the classic flavors, these Brach's candies from Smiling Sweets won't let you down.
