Kate Moss by Mario Testino

This book is beautiful. It arrived in a red cellophane wrapper. Not as fancy as the hardcover's red box, but special just the same. The pictures of Kate are beautiful and I loved seeing the shots of Lila. I did feel a bit voyeuristic about these personal photos being included, but Kate had to give her permission. At least they aren't paparazzi shots of Kate picking up her daughter from school. The book itself is huge, measuring about 11.5 in x 15.5 in and very heavy. The paper is thick and textured, so no fingerprints get left behind on the pages. The index shows all the pictures again, and smaller, and includes where and when the photos were taken - very nice. The photos aren't in any chronological order and you can tell the 1995-1997 photos easily, but after that it does get hard to place the timeframe, which is what makes Kate so amazing. If you are a fan of Kate Moss then buy this book. It's full of skin and nipples and Kate-face.

I knew it would move quickly, and I'm glad I didn't hesitate to buy it when it was offered. The very limited release makes this one an instant collectible but the imagery and production values make it a classic and groundbreaker. The silver-edged pages, the heavy paper stock, the red lucite case--hell, even the cardboard box it arrived it was especially designed. Make sure you get the cardboard box if you're buying second-hand for your fashion collection.

To me, Kate moss is not beautiful. But she has her characters shown on photos or on the stage. I won't say the pics here on the book is beautiful, stunning, but would definitely say this book is like a diary to show her past and another side of her. Heard that this is the limited edition, so I'm happy to own one.

Muse and master. Love the amount of images and the overall sexiness ... Kate is so well captured by Mario and Mario is so inspired by Kate that the results are effortless and compelling. Bravo!

With an amateur eye, i believe this book is more about Kate and Mario's history than about great photographs. The comments, the history, the evolution of Kate saw through Testino's eye is simply wonderful, and insider with great eye. I recommend this book if you are interested in fashion, lifestyle, celebrities, and Kate Moss or Mario Testino. I don't recommend this book is you are looking for great photographs, even though some are fabulous.

This is a great book if you are a fan of Kate Moss! I loved all of the photos, especially the ones behind the scenes which give a rare glimpse into her real life.

It's a fantastic, just a kind of an awesome large size photo book! Testino & Moss will let you quite amazed!

There are a lot of photographers who dismiss Mario Testino as mere fashion photography.Don't listen to them.You can like him more or you can like him less but he is just so important and actually very good indeed you just need to own all his books in order to have a rounded contemporary photography education.I personally prefer Nigel Parry's dark brooding portraits.I prefer Jean Loup Sieff in black and white nude study.I prefer Guy Bourdin in color exotica.I prefer Richard Avedon's fashion photography.I prefer Terry O Neill's celebrity photography.But we are picking hairs.Mario Testino is great, his books are a must have. Its a no brainer. Buy the book!This book is big and the photos are full on.You may know many already but there's enough unseen to make it worthwhile.Many are snapshots that look like they are from his Contax compact 35mm camera with on camera flash in color and BW, so blown up the grain is like pebble dashing, but Mario knows how to do perfect shots when he cares to and includes some from commercial work and his recent exhibition in Madrid Museo Thyssen gallery. The quick snaps have all his trademark energy and positivity. Kate Moss's photos are fun. Some are sexy, some are cookie.You may like her more or less but she's just wonderful. Check her first casting reel on YouTube to see how incredible she was from day one.I myself am a portrait and wedding photographer but take my hat off to Mario he beats me hands down. He is the perhaps the hardest working most productive guy there is. He never stops. His air miles must be like George Clooney's in the film. Sometimes he seems to get things wrong like the recent Royal wedding engagement photos of Kate Middleton and Prince William but maybe his hands were tied but he's brilliant and they were, with all due royal respect, just plain dumb not to hire him to do the wedding IT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE BEST WEDDING PHOTO ALBUM EVER DONE!Suerte Mario, saludos de Madrid España jefe. Got mine 3 weeks ago from Amazon as it is cheaper than waterstones/selfridges. Arrived still SEALED IN THE RED SEETHOUGH SLEEVE.I browsed it in Selfridges before ordering mine. It is pretty much the same as the one of last summer at £300! except not signed and not in a posh box.The KATE MOSS portraits collection is huge and comes in a EXTRA large format that just fits standing in my high shelves! very heavy too. Testino does have hit & misses but the hits are worth the misses.I kept mine sealed cos I am that kind of collector:) but it would be a great coffee book to keep guests talking if you are that kind of collector:)

Bought this as a joint Christmas present to ourselves. Wonderful photography and some special pictures of Kate during her stunning career to date. When you see these you can understand her success.
