I carefully read the reviews because I've used water globes before that didn't work as described. After reading the reviews I found that these were perfect, I wasn't looking for a time lapse water globe but instead an ease of watering globe... these are perfect, I have one in my peace lilies and one in my golden pothos... I fill and walk away with no worries of the water spilling over the top of the pots rim... I come back a few hours later and fill again, with the larger plants I have to fill several times before the plant is fully hydrated... I don't understand why people would think that these would be a time release since they have a fully open top allowing dry soil to drink that water up quickly, if the plant is fully hydrated the water in the globe will last a little longer but I wouldn't go on vacation and leave my plant in the hands of ANY water globe... the final complaint I read about was how fragile they are, well for starters they're glass so fragile is a given... however my one fell and broke just the petals area a bit BUT it's still functional and hidden under the pothos leaves! All in all I am pleased and will buy more

When I was putting one in the ground the bulb edge broke and cut my finger. It was only a bit of the edge though so I'm still using it and it works well.

This does dump into your plant very quickly so be sure to not over water, if you are a bit of a spiller or want water straight to the roots then this is good! However I would not trust this to slowly water while being away

I was a little worried that these wouldn't work as well as the enclosed glass globes and dump too much water into my plans. That is happily not the case - these are awesome! They're beautiful to look at, work well, AND they are so much easier to fill than the enclosed glass globes that you have to pull out, unstick the soil plug, and then re-fill with water.

I've used watering globes for a while and I thought these might make life even easier. First set arrived with one item being broken. Box was fine, Styrofoam packing was fine, but one rim was broken off. I quickly received a replacement set but the water in these emptied quickly into my plants.

These are so pretty and do exactly what I wanted them to do. My plants do so much better when they get water from the bottom of the plant. I will buy more when I have more indoor plants.

This is come in handy I had a mama bird set her nest in our hanging basket wanted to keep her safe and be able to water my hanging basket worked out great

These were exactly what I wanted and was expecting except one of them arrived broken. The stem was broken off of the globe. I tried to glue it but am afraid that I wasn't too successful,
