Homeboyz (Hoopster Trilogy, 3)

I teach 9th grade English and ordered this book last year. This year was my first reading it with a class, and I can't believe how much my students enjoyed it. One of my classes is FILLED with reluctant readers... It's also made up of 17 boys and just 3 girls. When we started reading the novel, kids who never volunteer to read were practically out of their seats with eagerness. (I have a hunch they just wanted the chance to say a curse word in class :) ). They loved it. We had great discussions and some students admitted it was the first book they've ever read completely. "Can we read more books like this?" they asked. I was so impressed with their reaction that I ordered it for my 16-year-old brother.

One of my favorite books as a teenager.. Decided to re-read it... I used to have a hard cover, but this is just as great.. Love it..

Absolutely love this book. It teaches me so much about the justice system and the minds of teenagers. I wish there was a part 2.

Great book. Son read it for a class and said it was a good book

I liked how it came but after some days the front cover started to get scratched too sensitive

The storyline is relatable with everything going on in this day and age

I USED THIS BOOK AS A "READ-ALOUD" TO MY STUDENTS.....I HAVE THEM SITTING ON THE EDGE WAITING FOR ME TO CONTINUE READING.....WHEN I STOP JUST WHEN THE CLIMAX IS COMING! THIS IS A PAGE TURNER., AND IT HAS A GREAT ENDING!!!

My son loved this book.

This book is okay. The writing was a bit hard to decipher but the story was okay.
