Miserable Quality Fail
This bulb looks cool and professional but take my word, it is not; it became evident there is no QA going on here. It goes as follows: The head of the bulb is not only too heavy but in fact doesn't properly screw onto its base. It is slightly too big and as a result it just slips off. It has crushed to death a poor tiny tomato plant. To make matters worse, after about 1-2 weeks of use, the plastic base has begun to melt due to heat, and 1/3 of leds blink off if you even slightly tinker w/bulb. This unfortunately leaves you feeling as if it is a hazard to leave it unattended. As a matter of fact, handling the bulb in any much way and it will just shut off completely. The only good thing about this product is that it puts out decent amount of light when very close to it. The pics look good but like much of grow led products on amazon, the ultimate quality fails miserably as these things are seemingly produced by freshly grown little companies w/o any accountability. I did not return. Cheers...update 07/20/18 - this company has tried to remedy some of the issues and has since sent me a new bulb to try out. I have not used it yet but it does appear they have worked on some of the issues I mentioned above. Because of this fair act on their behalf, I have raised overall rating from 2 to 3 stars. After I give it thorough testing, I will update this review again.

This is a six watt miniature appliance light. This is not a PAR type spot light - this is not the light you are looking for (unless you have miniature plants). It looked to be of questionable construct.when I first received it..The LED's are SMT on a board placed on a lamp base, with a couple of wires tacked on. I purchased the 60W equivalent and will tell you from germination - to 2-3 weeks, this light is handy if you are only doing a few small plants. It appears to have just enough energy to work. At 7W dissipation - nice power/growth result. Given some recent price reductions, updated descriptions, and additional comments - this product is starting to improve. I will say if you are looking for a small, low cost light to help with starting seeds and cuttings - this light may be your miracle. It may be good for supplemental lighting also. Small enough to be economical and compact, yet full of only beneficial energy that should provide excellent results. I will update with reliability, etc ... I am thinking about buying another (almost half price now - price dropped from $19 --> $12 with some 5.5 inch reflectors (https://www.amazon.com/Woods-0151-Clamp-Lamp-Reflector/dp/B075PSHCB6/ref=pd_sim_60_4?_encoding=UTF8&refRID=1EM8CTAT27B14F8C4ZT7) to help focus light (smaller reflectors if I can find them - the 8 inch or larger is ridiculous).

60w led review not 28w. Screwed up reviews
First off, the first review here is for the 28w led bulb not the 60w. Amazon is not differentiating the reviews per item, this needs to stop!!! You can't make an informed choice with this faulty review system. THANKS AMAZON!!! 😠!The 60w bulb works well. I will be using 3 in a bulb adapter on six plants for supplemental light during rainy/cloudy days. 1has done a great job on them as seedlings. No 5 star because don't know durability yet, but great so far after being on for 12 hours a day for a week for 2 weeks to test. Normally will be running only that amount here and there.

Avoid, plain & simple
They started off fine. Lit up, I thought they were working, but I didn't notice any growth difference between the plants under them and my other plants. My HUGE ISSUE with these bulbs... They fell apart after about a month & a half of use. I came home one day to 3 of the metal rings laying on the ground and 2 of the bulbs HANGING OUT OF THE ENCLOSURES.NOPE! Unplugged lamps, removed and bought much better bulbs.Side note, these are "growth" lights, not full spectrum. My new bulbs are full spec - there is a noticible difference in plant growth, yield & appearance.

Overrated wattage, not the amount specified a good amount less
The consumption mentioned on the website and box was 11.8 watts, my kill-a-watt meter measure this fluctuating between 8.5-8.7 watts. I didn't have the time to contact prior to the return closing window, but definitely under the rating by 3 watts, a great amount almost 1/3 of the consumption wattage indicated. The end result not enough power if youre going by specs, and I'm going to have to buy better lights as these will probrbaly have to go for the starters and seedlings.

Wow! I'm very impressed AND fast shipping!!
I found an old dried up Thai pepper in my purse and wanted to try and plant the seeds from it for the heck of it. I dumped dirt in a cup, threw the seeds in, and placed the bulb on my desk light with this UV growing bulb, set up a timer for it and BAM! The miracle of LIFE! This is only ONE week!!! I should have full plants in NO time. But I'll probably need to take them home lol! Definitely recommend!!!

Worth it to buy
I got this unit because it had the option of replaceable bulbs. Works great and I've seen my plants respond well. The bulb covers have separated from the part that screws into the socket however, but they screw back into place easy enough. Bulbs get very hot.
