It's like all the decades of research, and product designs finally culiminated into this hoover right here. It reminds me of those 80s contraptions that do a million things, with a hundred different attachments... except this does it better... none of the features are gimmicky... and it's well optimised for all activities.You can remove the hoover cyclinder from the stand in order to do mobile vaccuming for ceiling areas, and stairs or hard to reach places. THIS IS A GAME CHANGER!All the bits and bobs around the vacuum device are easy to use, and understand. The craftsmanship is top notch, and you'll definitely notice it when you purchase it.I am very satisfied with the hoover, and it is well worth the price. The suction power is decent enough, not earth shattering power... but it gets the job done with ease.

I've bought Vax and little else for a long time. Emptying them is easy and they are always attempting to innovate. This one does a reasonable job on pet hair. The lift off unit does make it easier on the stairs using the turbo brush but it's still awkward but ten out of ten for at least trying to solve the problem. Normal cleaning is excellent but the suction isn't quite as powerful as the last Vax air it replaced. It's not the cheapest in the range but it does have the "steerable" element to it and the lift off portable unit so that's where the extra money goes. If these aren't important I'd still highly recommend any Vax they are very reliable.

I think the mains cable would be better exiting from the top of the machine rather than from the bottom, also a round mains cable not the very thin flat one that bis fitted. Apart from those two items the machine works excellently.

needed a new cleaner was recommended this one by my granddaughter it has proved to be an excellent buy, it's suction is outstanding, it is a bit heavy for me to carry upstairs but I am happy to struggle with it as it out performs the lightweight vax I have. Down side was having to buy a set of tools for it upside is the tools I have from previous models fit so have 1 for all jobs now so it's a "win-win" over all

This is a great vacuum for the price - very powerful, easy to use and manoeuvre and the ability to lift the cylinder off the chassis and use it as a portable vacuum is very clever - great for the stairs and great for cleaning the car as well. we bought this to replace the older model Vax which we were also very happy with and it served us well for nearly 3 years but a wheel came off and a clip broke and although it was usable it was time to replace - they have certainly improved things in the 3 years - we thought the old one was great but the new one is even better and cost the same - I would highly recommend as a great value alternative to a Dyson - a third of the cost

So I bought this back in march 2020. It has been a brilliant vacuum for it's price range. I liked pretty much every aspect of it.It has however, let me down in one key way. The place where the power cable enters the vaccuum has failed, and now the device constantly shorts out. Not only does this make hoovering a royal pain, but it is a potential fire hazard.I should point out that I'm a bloke with a small house and I hate hoovering. I do it every other week, since I live alone and make little mess.What's more I try hard to make appliances last, since replacing them is an expense I don't relush.That this vacuum has only lasted til just after the warranty is damnably annoying. I'm not at all happy.I'm tempted to go in and fix it, but I'm aware that in itself may be unwise.In short this is a great item, that just doesn't last.
