Very readable. How the material was presented was understandable with good examples. I paired this with udemy practice tests.I got 815 when I took the exam and felt very ready.

This is the best book ever for Security+ exam. I took online courses along with lab, and I have 1 more security+ book written by Mike Chapple, according to data that is the best book. But jobs speaking that book looks like written by ChatGPT! Writing style is so bad! But this one is magical! I love this book. Hands down if u looking for the right book to pass the exam by first chance.

Really like the inclusion of practice questions. The online resources are also helpful for a glossary of all the acronyms. Wish there was a glossary for port numbers, but it’s easy enough make a list of that yourself.

I like the amount of useful information packed into this book. It is written eloquently and easy for novice technology users to comprehend. I would however recommend that if you are completely new and want to get into cybersecurity, that you start with the CompTIA A+ learning material first. Even if you don't buy the official book, or plan to take an exam for the A+, the information in the A+ is pretty much a prerequisite to understanding more advanced topics like networking and/or security.For fundamental knowledge on computing and IT, you can find free courses online. You can't understand quantum physics without first understanding classical physics, and that same concept applies to technological concepts.Overall this is a great book, and is only docked a star because of its price, which the authors in no way had a decision on.

Read the book 2 times over and took my exam, passed. That's really all that needs to be said, isn't it?

Just passed SY0-701 with an 802. While this was not my only resource, it was definitely a good one!Watched through Messer's course, then read this after. What a great way to supplement my learning! Having 2 different author perspectives and some repetition of the exam objectives really helped bring this one home.Even if you don't like to read, simply skimming this book, taking notes of the key points outlined, and utilizing the practice quizzes and pre/post exams provided makes it worth alot more than what it costs.Don't just take my advice, look at all of the other positive reviews. If you are still wondering whether or not this book is worth it, please just buy it and you will see. You won't be disappointed.
