Everything included, bright and fit in small spaces without a junction box
Originally I thought these lights would be great to replace some older ceiling pot lights in my new house, however, as I started working with these, I realized that there are many other applications, especially in spaces that had no previous in ceiling lights. The included 6 inch template helps with a quick and accurate ceiling install. If your old lights are 6 inches or less, these lights will cover the hole and sit near flush with the ceiling. The blue spring-loaded tabs pull the lights into position once the wiring is completed. You wire up the included junction box is plastic. It is not recommended to install it anywhere nails or screws could penetrate the box at a later time. There are metal plates available at home improvement stores that protect the box if you are concerned about future mechanical damage. The device is rated for single and 2 family structures only, not for any "fire rated" housing unit (based on label printed on each device). The plastic box contains a power supply that converts the 110V AC of the house into the lower DC voltage the LED lights runs on. Also on the box, you select the color temperature and night light function. If you change your mind later, you will need to pull the light from the ceiling and overcome the spring forces. I recommend to test your light settings choices before finalizing the install of the light unit, because it is easy to damage the drywall with each repeated removal and install.Once the power supply box is wired up and in the ceiling, all that is left is to connect the white wire with the box and snap the light into the ceiling. The light output is nice and well diffused through the lens in the unit. It works fine with my off-brand dimmer, even though the text on each unit states "not compatible with 3rd party sensors or all dimmers," whatever that means. The well written and illustrated booklet that comes with these lights lists several compatible dimmers. For me, the winning feature that makes these lights stand out from the rest that competes in this space is the built-in night light. Free up outlets and have a warm, indirect dimmable night light above the space that needs lighting. I will install these in all hallways of my new house.I am very satisfied with these lights and am investigating other places I may be able to mount these in my new house.

Great recessed lights featuring a night light
These 6" LED recessed lights with a built-in night light work very well. They're bright and appear to be of high quality. The wire boxes are cheap plastic but they're easy to work with and feature an exterior accessible 5-position color temperature switch for selecting from 5 color temperatures. Because the wire boxes are plastic, they don't have a ground wire. Each wire box includes 2 wire nuts and the AC circuit wire ends are tinned. Each light features a dust-proof gasket and strong spring clips. The wire connectors feature a 4-pin barrel-style connector and feature a dustproof o-ring and are secured by a threaded ring. The cords connected to each light and each wire box are about 6" in length. Some of the wire connectors can be somewhat frustrating to connect because some of the connectors have some plastic that wasn't properly trimmed. After testing the lights, they are surprisingly bright. When using the main white light, each light draws about 12 watts. When using the night light, each light draws right at 3 watts. Each wire box measures about 2-13/16" x 3-5/16" x 1-3/8" height. Each light measures about 6-7/8" diameter outside the white trim ring and about 4-15/16" diameter inside the white trim ring. Each light measures right at 6" diameter for the part that will be recessed in the ceiling and about 1" height with the spring tabs installed.Overall, these lights seem to work very well and seem to be excellent recessed LED lights with the additional night light feature. The night light is a very warm color temperature light that glows against the ceiling. I think most installers would prefer to use a more durable metal wire box. Because the recessed part of the light measures 6" in diameter, a 6-1/8" hole saw will be required for installation.

Great small ceiling light units
Picked these up for our kitchen. The primary light is great for general room light, but does a poor job of lighting the counters when you are cooking. A previous homeowner had removed and poorly patched the ceiling where can lights used to be, so figured these should be pretty straight forward to install in those locations and would both fix the counter lighting issue as well as the ugly ceiling repairs. These worked great on both accounts. I used the included template to verify I had the correct size hole saw, and used that to cut the holes back open. The old can light wiring happened to still be in place and had been capped off with wire nuts and no junction boxes and was still wired to a light switch (I turned off the breaker before starting, but can you say fire hazard 😬), so it was quite simple to wire up the included control/junction boxes, slip them up into the ceiling, hook up the lights, and pop them into the holes. The spring loaded tabs hold the lights securely in place, and the trim ring on them did a good job of covering up the edges of the poorly done patchwork.I do like that the units are color selectable during installation as well. I personally like bright white lighting, especially in a kitchen, but my partner absolutely hates it, so I set them for a warm color. Would be great if they could be adjusted post install without needing to pull the lights down. Make sure you are certain what color temp you want prior to installing them into the ceiling holes. The nightlight feature is awesome. Already had this same feature on the main kitchen light I installed, so these add a little extra to that one.Overall very happy with these, would definitely recommend as both replacements for old can lights as well as new installations, as they are very easy to install and work with.
