How can you put a price on peace of mind?
Used this in a 1' tall retaining wall "flower bed" between my neighbors house and our yard. As usual a "small weekend project" turned out to be a nightmare when I discovered that the failing brick flower bed was actually a retaining bed between our two yards. UGH.I was going to put in cmu's but instead decided to use existing forms and left over concrete from another set of projects...I did not have time or patience to cut more rebar, and had this from the patio pour (which went well also). The short slump assured me this was working as intended and as we went along the pours were even and not clumpy. we had no issues with cracking during cure (it was 101 degrees) though we did keep wet with cotton drop cloths and plastic for two days.easy to use, easy to mix, easy to pour, no concerns about failure if my trucks bump it. peace of mind.

Nice bag of product. Funny didn't feel like rock. Used for deep fill reinforcement

I started using this for hand stacking concrete. I feel it made it stay together on the vertical sections of the bench way better.

Great stuff, disappears into concrete with proper mixing.
I was looking for glass fiber to reinforce concrete countertops but was unable to find a good listing that was in stock for a reasonable price/volume. I found this basalt fiber in my search and decided to take a chance on it, and I'm glad I did. Unlike glass fiber, these seem to break up really well during mixing, resulting in tiny high-tensile filaments that are really hard to see but are present throughout the mix (see attached photos of mixed concrete with fibers). This completely changed the 'slump' of the concrete mix, so it was clearly doing its job.The natural color also lends itself to disappearing into the concrete (see image of finished surface). Since I was sanding down the surface of the concrete, I was worried about safety but according to material safety data I could find, mixing and sanding concrete itself is more dangerous due to silica content than basalt so you should already be wearing a dust mask anyway. It's a little bit expensive, but excellent material to work with, completely natural (inert) and would be interesting to do some destructive testing to compare breaking points with fiberglass vs no reinforcement.
