The Little Psychotherapy Book: Object Relations in Practice

I love the way he writes
Clear, precise, dynamic, methodical and simply fabulous! As a psychotherapist, I'm really drawn into Object Relations Theory. Dr. Frankland was able to put complex terms of this approach into a practical framework of clinical reference. I love the way he writes, it's enjoyable and user friendly. Case presentations help a lot in understanding concepts as well. I definitely recommend this book to any mental health clinician who is looking to further develop clinical skills in Object Relations Theory and application. A+++++++!!!!!!!!

Great Intro Text
A great primer for object relations. Best for those who are new to the theory or want a book they can quickly reference. Would recommend more in-depth texts for those who are already familiar with object relations, although I think this would still have a place on the bookshelf.

My new favorite psych writer!
Although I am still not quite finished reading Frankland's Little Psychotherapy Book I really wanted to write a review because I am enjoying it so much. The writing style is so engaging and unique in that I feel like I am sitting in a round table discussion with Dr. Frankland. He explains a very complicated subject using a simple conversational style that just makes sense and is so easy to understand. My background is primarily CBT-oriented but I am thoroughly enjoying reading about object relations. The HORSE and COST mnemonics are easy to grasp and apply, even in my CBT cases. I cannot say enough about this book and I cannot wait to finish it. Highly recommended.

Concise, and clearly written!
Best concise OR book I've come across. VERY helpful in learning more about this theory and how to apply it in case conceptualizations.

Object Relations
A very well and clearly written short book on a very complicated subject. It explains in a very clear language quite difficult issues and it has a quite practical approach to the subject. I do indeed recomment it to anybody approaching Object Relations with a clinical orientation.
