This mat is best suited for small breeds/puppies under 5 months as the surface area is rather small. It helps keep the surroundings around the feeding bowl clean & also discourages bad eating habits in your canine friend. The top surface is like a smooth felt, easy to clean with plain water, and air dries relatively fast. The bottom is made of rubber, so the mat doesn’t move around as much.While it does look different from the image provided, the quality is good. You definitely cannot keep two dog bowls on this mat, perhaps maybe more suited for cats.This product is good to have, but not a must have.
