Nice product with RGB
I always wanted a RGB keyboard and at a sale price I got one from Amazon Basics! First off, this keyboard is heavy and big in size. No flex in this puppy - nice an strong. Comes with a braided USB connector about 4 feet in length, software CD for the control of the RGB lights, or you can download the software directly from Amazon. The keyboard keys are nice and of a good size, I hate the small click keys so common these days that come with computers. I just do not like the feel of those keys when typing, guess I am too old style since I learned to type with an old IBM keyboard back in the day. This keyboard has the RGB lights under the keys, interesting, I accidentally knocked one key off and holding it to the light I noted you can see the letters and number through the key, that means that there are no printed or painted letters/numbers on the top of each key to wear out - might be a laser cut but not sure The feel of the keyboard is good but you may need to use a bit more force while typing, you do hear a clicking sound but this is a membrane keyboard not a cherry, red, blue, or green movement style keyboard. I can type about 100 words a minute even at my age without a problem on this keyboard. The colors RGB can be changed a number of ways, styles, and color of the lights. You can play with various combinations. This is also a gamer keyboard and can be programmed as you see fit, I am not a gamer per say but it is good to have that option if needed in the future. My spouse is checking out my keyboard with envious eyes which speaks for itself. It does have its limits - for example it is heavy and large so some folks may wish to look elsewhere if you have a small desk area. It is a USB port keyboard not a wi-fi device. But for the price I am a happy camper. I am now looking for RGB mouse to go with this keyboard. As is the case with Amazon Basics products I feel you get value for your money. You can check it out on Youtube to see if this meets your needs.

An easy way to add volume control to the keyboard
How to easily add volume control to keyboard (review below) This may seem complicated but it's very easy and took me about 1 minute from start to finish. To add volume control to this keyboard just Google 3RVX and download the latest version from their site. Once downloaded type 3RVX in the Windows search, right click on it and select open folder. You will see 3RVX and Settings, open the Settings. Go to the settings tab and click the + then in the first drop down menu select "volume up" then click on the next box and press whatever key you want to assign it to (something you don't use like "next track") and then click the + and select "volume down" and assign that to a different key. If you want these binds to work after you restart your PC make sure you go to the general tab and select "start with Windows" and your done. I saw a bunch of reviews complaining about the lack of volume controls so I figured I would share this in case anyone really wanted to add it. It works great for me and gave the keyboard an extra bit of utility. Review: As for the keyboard itself the quality seems pretty nice. The key presses aren't like a mechanical keyboard but for me that's not a problem, I prefer the quieter style of keyboards. The keys take a little more force to press then my last keyboard but I actually like it and it feels pretty nice for gaming since. Once you download the software you can create 3 different back light colors and cycle them with a press of a button. The lighting options are pulse, blink, on or off and there is 3 different brightness settings that go from kind of dim to kind of bright. Coming from a very flat Razor Deathstalker keyboard it's going to take some getting used to but for the price I got more then I expected. The only thing I don't like is that after a few minutes of inactivity the backlight automatically shuts off and I haven't found a way to change that in the settings. This only happens when I'm watching a video or something like that so it's not a huge problem but I'm still not used to it and I think my PC is going to sleep or there was a problem. Overall for a budget gaming keyboard its better then I expected. I will update this review if I have any issues over time.

Great for the price - Mechanical FEELING if you aren't used to true mechanical
TLDR; Good board, will recommend. Pros: Nice to type with, better than a membrane, 5x3 macros are tops, colors are RGB and bright, media keys are great. Cons: Space key sounds springy, keyboard is tall, software is tedious to use, WASD and arrow keys are textured Okay, the main complaint I've seen by people is how the title says "Mechanical feel". I haven't used many real mechanical keyboards, but coming from a membrane keyboard? This is pretty mechanical feeling. You need slightly more force to actuate the key, and when you do it releases suddenly into the keypress. There's no rubbery feeling at the bottom of the key, or at least not that I can feel compared to my other one. It's also a little louder and audibly clicks when they key is pressed, making it easier to confidently type than my other keyboard. The 5 macro keys is a step down from the 6 I had before, but the M1-M3 buttons are amazing. I've already got M1 and M2 filled, and I'm looking for a use for the M3. 15 macros is just awesome. The lighting is RGB as well, instead of just 7 colors or something. VERY surprising on a keyboard at this price :) I keep it on red since that's the theme of my set up, but if I ever changed the theme I'd know I could have any color I'd like. The media keys at the top are nice too since before I had to hit FN and F9-F12 to manipulate my music. There isn't a volume adjust though, but I think you might be able to do that on the G1-G5 keys, but I can't say for sure. Regardless, still convenient. The cons are minimal when you consider the price. The space key has a springy sound when you hit it, but if you've got headphones on you can't even hear it. They keyboard is about half an inch taller than my old one, so I had to get used to the extra height. The software needed to be updated right away, and it didn't really make it easier to use, just fixed bugs. The process you need to go through to create macros is unnecessarily complex and makes it a bit tedious to create a batch of macros. Lastly the WASD and arrow keys are slightly textured where they've been etched, which you can notice a little bit in games. It doesn't take more than a day or two to get used to though, and I imagine will wear down after a while. All in all, I'd recommend this board 100%. Very glad I took the gamble with it :) I'll update this post if something changes or breaks through normal use.

Good solid "mechanical feel" keyboard
Edit 5/16/2019 after months of using this, i have to rate it down to 3/5 stars now. The back lighting issue is just so annoying and the fact that amazon cant put out some kind of update for this keyboard is just bad. also at first I thought the no volume key wouldnt be so bad, but after a while, this would of been nice to have. other than those, its still working find and still not a bad keyboard, but ONLY if you dont pay full price for it. worth if for maybe $20. Good overall keyboard for any day use whether its for gaming or regular use. It does have some issues quality control wise and software wise. Mine came with WASA instead of WASD, and some keys felt loose or stiff. I did get a replacement which fixed these problems, so just be aware you may need to order a replacement if amazon doesnt do better quality control on this product. The other issue I have with the keyboard is, the lighting turns off after 10 minutes if not being used, regardless if plugged into USB 2.0 or 3.0. Cant figure out how to turn this off, and the included software does not have anything for this, which is why im giving 4 stars and not 5. if you know how to fix this, please let me know. Pros: Good solid weight to it, doesnt feel cheaply made choose between 3 pre selected light colors or customize the 3 light choices. media controls on top visible indicator for caps lock, num lock and scroll lock (some keyboards dont have this) windows lock 5 macro keys 3 profiles to customize cons: quality control issue light turns off after 10 mins issue. Light doesnt shine through keys as bright as the keyboard does.

Versatile Keyboard for Gaming and Everyday Use
I was in the market for a keyboard to use mostly for gaming, but also for regular everyday use tasks as well. This keyboard was probably the best for my purposes as it provided convenient mix of features to handle both tasks very well. FIRST IMPRESSIONS: -Good weight, sturdy construction -Good paint on keys -Resilient USB cable with decent length -Spacing of keys feels comfortable -Features number pad (for other office/daily tasks) -Multimedia controls at the top -Straight-forward software installation and set-up (comes with CD for installation, and a link to download if CD drive isn't an option) GAMING: -Included software to customize the features of the keyboard (lighting, macros, sensitivity) -Brightly backlit (even in a lighted room) and features various brightness levels (I believe 3) and a spectrum of any color you could want -Able to toggle between 3 selected colors on the fly via a dedicated button -Breath/pulse, strobe lighting features -Able to bind macros to 5 keys located on the left hand side -Able to adjust the sensitivity and input delay of each key press Overall, it has many features to supplement all of your gaming needs, however it cannot be compared fairly to a truly mechanical keyboard when it comes to the sensitivity of pushing each key (requires noticeably more effort). I understood that this was not mechanical, and I opted for a non-mechanical keyboard because I didn't want they loudness that comes with mechanical keyboard as I tend to play into the late hours of the night. If you're buying this product with the expectation that it will be able to compete with or replace a mechanical keyboard, this is not the product for you. However if you're in the market for a nicely crafted, customizable keyboard for gaming without the "clickity clack", then give this product a shot!

Great if you are 12 years old!
Be aware this keyboard has a built-in wrist-rest which is NON-REMOVABLE. I have a keyboard tray with a built-in wrist-rest, so when I place this keyboard on my tray, I have to reach past the keyboards built-in, non-removable wrist-rest in every attempt to press any keys!!!! It's so hard to believe they are asking $35 for this pile of plastic, after they just had it on sale for $13 and free shipping and then would not allow reviews because of a crazy number of complaints. Even for $13, this keyboard is awful in every way. Macro keys are useless without software. That's a level of cheap I haven't seen in over 10 years! The keyboard should have included black alternative keys for the 8 mis-colored keys ideal to gamers only. The keys themselves are VERY LOUD! I SAID THE KEYS ARE VERY LOUD! You can only select from RED, GREEN or BLUE for your lighting UNLESS you install software! (basically, its a software-based keyboard. What real gamer wants to use his/her system resources for the keyboard while they need all the system resources they have to game and/or Twitch?) The LEDs do NOT stay on. After a period of inactivity, the lights go out. In a dark room and can't see your keyboard? Randomly press a button and it will light up again, but I hope you didn't just unknowingly press the delete button! For this price, a much better keyboard (that doesn't require software to work) is called the Pictek Mechanical Feel Gaming Keyboard Wired, LED Gaming Keyboards USB Wired Keyboard with 7-Color Backlit, 26 Anti-ghosting Keys for Gamers Office. You can also pick up pro-series gaming keyboards from Corsair that have been refurbished and cost about the same, but are far superior in every single way.

Macros saved in keyboard!
The macros are saved in the keyboard! My company computer will not allow drivers to be loaded and most of the macro enabled keyboards I have seen requires the drivers to use the macros. I created the macros on my personal laptop, plugged it in to the company laptop, and they worked perfectly! update 1/18/21 Keyboard still working great and I'm thrilled they included the software link on the product listing. Not sure why all the people are hating on this keyboard recently. Only reasonable complaint is the lack of volume controls other than the mute button. Everything else is bull. It is a mechanical "feel" keyboard, the colors stay on for me (maybe a setting in the software, I'm not certain), and I have had no issues at all with it other than the ENTER button popping off when I get a bit too enthusiastic and start slamming keys. That being said, it pops right back on with no issues. People complaining about a keyboard of this quality with INTERNAL MEMORY for the macros makes no sense what so ever to me. 8/4/22 Still using the keyboard and love it! Have not bothered to upgrade the software because it’s still working great! Plug it into my personal laptop when I want to create new macros, upload them to the internal memory, then plug back into my company laptop and chug along!

Good keyboard for the money.
I use this keyboard for business and gaming so I'll write a couple of pros and cons. Pros: I like the way it lights up and the way it feels. It's got a good spring in the keys, it's solid and reliable. Cons: it's super clacky, people can hear me type upstairs. The other con is it has five buttons built vertically on the left side of it. Sometimes when I'm gaming I press one of those buttons instead of the Shift or Ctrl buttons because they're right next to them. Aside from those minor details I like the keyboard and am satisfied with my purchase.

Gran teclado

Works with KVM!
As I am back working at home, I wanted a sturdy keyboard. This is definitely it. It's not quiet by any stretch. You will get great tactile feedback if you're a touch typist. What I like best about it was that I was able to program my Keyboard/Video/Monitor switch control keys using the key mapping software. I was worried the KVM would not see it. (That was the case with my Razer mouse.) I did download 3RVX to map volume up and down, as there are not specific keys for it.
