Osprey Hikelite 18L Unisex Hiking Backpack, Aloe Green

I actually used this for an overnight trip to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, but luckily stayed at Phantom Ranch so didn’t have to pack bedding or dinner - though I still had clothing, sunscreen, bug spray, and a lot of water and snacks/electrolytes, including a full 3L bladder. It worked great, distributed weight well, fit a lot of stuff, and was comfortable. I didn’t notice it chafing against my shirt at all, and I appreciated the airflow given the temps at the bottom were in the 110’s. It’s a great day pack and I highly recommend. Love the green color too.

Bought a cheaper pack on here at first and immediately returned after my first hike (the brand was Teton). This one fits amazingly well. It’s very lightweight. The straps fit and feel perfect. I love the updated feature on the back to help with airflow. I’m 5’3 135ish for reference. I saw this pack in store for $100 so it’s a good deal to order on here. It does not come with a hydration pack but for the price being cheaper on here, that was fine. I ordered the Teton hydration pack. My boyfriend bought a larger Osprey, the Stratos 24 and it’s awesome as well. I could carry it for a longer hike too because the straps adjust based on your height. Safe to say that I’m sticking with Osprey. 👍🏼

I'm 6'1", weigh 280 lbs., and have struggled to find hiking gear that doesn't remind me that I don't "fit in" with the hiking crowd. This bag does just that - it's light, offers good support, doesn't run up against my back, and is just the right size for my foray into hiking. The straps are adjustable so they offer the proper support to take weight off your lower back and provide enough space so you don't feel crunched up or unnecessarily restricted. My only complaint was the waist strap, which was not long enough (i.e. my gut not small enough) to fit around my waist. However, the waist strap can be removed until you're in a position to fit into it. Otherwise, this bag is perfect for day walking trips.

I purchased this backpack for a full day hike and it was absolutely perfect. It held all of my items with ease and I barely ever felt it was there. The special features like the built in rain cover, the soft lined pocket for your phone, the clasp for your keys, and the wide side pockets that hold my 40 oz water bottle perfectly all make this an amazing backpack. Do not hesitate, buy this backpack now. It’s comfort, durability, and versatility are unmatched!!

LOVED this bag! I'm a mom with 4 kids and I used it while we traveled Paris and Rome. It was lightweight and comfortable for the ALL day walking we did. I was able to pack one outfit, swimsuit, ipad, chargers, water bottle in the main compartment with room to spare and the small zippered pouch at the top of the pack fit my wallet, passport, chapstick, hand sanitizer, and phone. The straps never cut into my shoulders and when it started feeling heavy I utilized the clips around the shoulders and waist to distribute the weight and I could go for another few hours.

This pack it perfect, except for one problem-where the mesh back covers the frame at the bottom corners, it causes pilling on T-shirts. I tried sewing up some pieces to fit over the straps and cover the corners, it’s not super classy but gets the job done - it’s just a shame that that was necessary.

I love this pack. I wanted something that was off my back and this was perfect. Very roomy, I just wish it had more pockets. Note that this does have a frame, which I didn't realize before I bought it. I was hoping to be able to take this in my backpacking pack for day hikes, but it doesn't fit since it has the frame. But it is perfect for day hikes.
