Like New Look w/Decent Tools
This is a perfect replacement for my broken shell. It has the same grip the Elite Series 2 has, and looks great. There's plenty of how-to videos like "eXtremeRate for Xbox Elite Series 2 Bottom Shell," on YouTube, but you don't need new parts. Just swap your pre-existing parts out, and put them in the new shell, step by step in the video. The tools are decent, just treat them with care and you won't strip anything. Bottom line: It looks great and functions like new.

Like the real thing
Way better than buying a new elite controller. Once it was put together it felt like the original. The how to video showed the proper steps. The magnets are a pain in the butt. But those are part of the original controller, not the replacement case.

High end case it, bad tools.
Ok so the case is great, it feels high end and identical to the one already on the Elite V2. Soft rubbery plastic, super high end replacement.Swapping the internals over is not very hard but it is tedious. Just watch a youtube DIY video if you need to but it's very straightforward once you get in. In my second pic you will see a white sticker above the D pad to the right of the left analog there is a screw hiding under that and you'll have to break it or peel it up.The con to this set are the tools, they are plenty enough to get you going and get the controller disassembled, the problem comes when threading the screws into the new case you need a bit of force and that amount of force strips the bits for every one of them except the biggest size. Had I not already had a good precision set I would now be waiting a day or two for a new set of tools.Make absolutely sure to get at least a cheap set of precision driver bits with as many as possible or if the exact ones are listed in this listing then just make sure those are included, I cannot remember the sizes. They are all safety torx, 3 different sizes. Also if you for whatever reason want to not mangle the old controller case get a plastic spudger as this kit comes with a metal one and it destroys the original case. No big deal for me as my case's rubber overmolding was peeling off I wouldn't have reused it ever.Good luck!

Affordable solution to M$ nonsense
Like so many, the rubber grips on my *elite* controller peeled off - right outside of its warranty. Amazing that such an expensive, elite item is such trash. Instead of using their sham of a a support service (either sending it in, or getting an expensive box of parts I didn't need) I found this product. Experience taking apart their M$ last generation of controllers for stick drift taught me how easily these things come apart so this was a no brainer. If you've never done it, it seems intimidating working on such expensive electronics but if you can follow a step-by-step video and turn a tiny screw, you can do this. Controller looks and feels brand new. TIP: have a little container handy for all the different, little screws (the box this comes in is perfect) and gently, but firmly, remove and screw back in the tiny screws or they may strip. They are rather cheap and tiny. I had previous tools from other jobs but I did have to use the included no.2 driver, it seemed fine. TIP2: Save the video somewhere so you can rewind and pause. A tablet on your workspace is perfect. PHOTOS Before and After (last two)

Great fit
Awesome product here, I didn't know you could replace the whole shell of the elite 2. This was a easy swap of you are comfortable with removing small components. Tools that came with the kit were great and all you needed to complete the job. Will buy again

Quality components, good looking faceplate. Kit has gaps, though.
The plastics seem good, finished product kind great. I like the included tools, the drivers are magnetic and comfortable to use, and the pry tool is robust, it won't wear out like the plastic ones I've used from other kits.Issues:1. The kit includes a T2 driver among the tools, but this has no use, it should be a T4 instead, since those are what the controller used on the thumb stick PCBs. Fortunately I had one of my own.2. The kit includes no adhesives. In my case the adhesive was not reusable for the circular magnets, so I used a dab of rubber cement on them. The rectangular magnets came up with their adhesive, so that reused well. The original shell has adhesive helping to hold it together (or to reduce rattle perhaps). This replacement shell has no adhesive. It assembled fine for me, but whether it performs the same in terms of vibration remains to be seen.3. No instructions or links. I was able to use videos for other kits, but they talk about different steps for replacing parts that this kit requires you to salvage from the old controller, so the steps are a bit different.

Great replacement shell!
This is a great shell replacement if you want the same OEM feeling. Take your time removing and putting the screws as they are fragile and could get stripped.

Great quality
Quality replacement shell, pretty much as good as the original. The replacement process is fairly simple and takes about 10 minutes. The included tools are bad, small screwdrivers from 2 kits stripped before I could reassemble even one controller, so use your own, but no complaints about the product itself.
